The city is notable for being the only one on the Forbidden Island, which is dedicated to Hawai’ian shamans, called kahunas. Only the Awakened and members of pure Polynesian bloodline may step onto the island. A small school for kahunas is located in the town, with students spending anywhere from a few months to several years exploring their traditional magic under their spirit guides. Jimmy's uncle Miho katutann is a well-renowned and beloved teacher in that school.

Unlike his uncle, Jimmy did not and could not possess the skill to wield and manipulate spirits like his uncle. He was accepted in the community, nonetheless, and went throw the initiation rituals of the Katutann. His training, coupled with his sharp senses found him a place as one of the top hunters of the clan and he served his uncle and community proud

====The Law of Kapu====
Not everyone shared the same sacred picture of the Forbidden Islands as the Katutann. Many corporations have research centers in the Kingdom of Hawai'i, like Renraku, Shiawase, and Ares. A research team from Ares came to survey the town of Pu'uwai.

They were harmless but it didm't matter. Only pure bloods and Kahunas are allowed to enter that town. Regardless of their intentions, they committed a cardinal sin. Regardless of their status, they were marked for death. Only the "Law of Kapu" applies in the Forbidden Islands:

If it is restricted, it is marked.
If it is marked, it is holy.
And the only punishment is death.

A pack of warriors, led by Jimmy, attacked and slaughtered the Ares research team. Their bodies were burned and the ashes scattered over the Northern winds as an apology for tainting the forbidden soil.

====Hunted====
Ares, scared that their research teams would be discouraged and leave the island, sent a kill team to Pu'uwai. Jimmy somehow evaded capture and left his friends and family behind. He swiftly found a way out of the Kingdom on a shop heading to US. Jimmy slighly changed his last name and became a bounty hunter in the shadows.

He is wanted by Ares as the last remaining survivor of what became known in the Shadows as the "Ares-Hawaiian Incident".

==Narrative Significant Qualities==
Fugitive from Hawai'i who's wanted by Ares for killing a research team of theirs in a sacred island. The feeling is very mutual.

Jimmy is calm. He's always calm. He never raises his voice and feels going on emotion is a cardinal sin.

Jimmy grew up in a Dwarven-ruled society in the Kingdom of Hawaii with a strict caste system. The story goes that non-Dwarves were on the lowest rung of society and were relegated to manual labor and other tasks that essentially amount to slave labor. Humans are especially reviled. The non-Dwarf caste is made to wear silver earrings and/or nose-rings that the Dwarven work-masters would pull on if the workers weren't working fast enough. They also contrast with the gold and platinum jewellery of the Dwarves. One day, a dwarf befriends Jimmy and, at some point, gifts Jimmy a new weapon he has been working on: a revolver. The dwarf then teaches Jimmy how to maintain it and use it properly. Then, the authorities found out about the dwarf's correspondence with Jimmy and so attempt to arrest both of them.

Jimmy somehow evades capture but leaves his friend behind. He later attempts to free his friend, forming a somewhat elaborate plan, but found he was too reckless in his execution and the rescue attempt ends with his friend killed by their captor/s. He swiftly found a way out of the city on a ship heading for US. He later became a bounty hunter to learn how to effectively use his gun. Jimmy realized that a steady hand isn't enough to wield a gun. He also needs a steady head; he needs to think things through. However, he has a habit of ignoring other people's thinking because his mind for tactics and combat planning is far superior. He figures that his friend was the rule for Dwarves around the world and that his Dwarven oppressors were merely exceptions so he approaches people with idealism for their good nature; even Dwarves.

"Talk low, talk slow and don't say too much..."

Jimmy is calm. He's always calm. He never raises his voice and feels going on emotion is a cardinal sin.

Jimmy grew up in a Dwarven-ruled society in the Kingdom of Hawaii with a strict caste system. The story goes that non-Dwarves were on the lowest rung of society and were relegated to manual labor and other tasks that essentially amount to slave labor. Humans are especially reviled. The non-Dwarf caste is made to wear silver earrings and/or nose-rings that the Dwarven work-masters would pull on if the workers weren't working fast enough. They also contrast with the gold and platinum jewellery of the Dwarves. One day, a dwarf befriends Jimmy and, at some point, gifts Jimmy a new weapon he has been working on: a revolver. The dwarf then teaches Jimmy how to maintain it and use it properly. Then, the authorities found out about the dwarf's correspondence with Jimmy and so attempt to arrest both of them.

Jimmy somehow evades capture but leaves his friend behind. He later attempts to free his friend, forming a somewhat elaborate plan, but found he was too reckless in his execution and the rescue attempt ends with his friend killed by their captor/s. He swiftly found a way out of the city on a ship heading for US. He later became a bounty hunter to learn how to effectively use his gun. Jimmy realized that a steady hand isn't enough to wield a gun. He also needs a steady head; he needs to think things through. However, he has a habit of ignoring other people's thinking because his mind for tactics and combat planning is far superior. He figures that his friend was the rule for Dwarves around the world and that his Dwarven oppressors were merely exceptions so he approaches people with idealism for their good nature; even Dwarves.
