After a shootout in Touristville, an Ancients razorboy, whether through a slip up or a set up, crashed his bike into a wall. In a flash, the red and black uniforms of the pawns seemed to be all around him, and it seemed to be all over. His brother, however did not give up so easily.

The runners arrived at a crumbling parking structure, with a wide open dirt lot out front. With nearby squatters shying away, that left plenty of room for a war host of Ancients to form a semi circle around the runners. Instructions were short, free this Ancients hitman from a Lone Star convoy, and return him to us, alive. With no faces available, the runners accepted. They were given the current location of the elf and his destination, Darrington Correctional Facility

Extremist eco-terrorist group LOGOS have found evidence of a magical artefact containing an ancient, powerful spirit named the Golden Butterfly, a bone dagger with a hilt in the shape of a butterfly curling its wings around the base, located somewhere in the Congo Tribal Lands. Meanwhile, by sheer coincidence, parazoologist Lauren Whyte stumbled upon some old ruins in a mana-rich zone of the Congo.

LOGOS learns of this, and a team is sent to find and interrogate her. Once she goes missing, the UCAS government is contacted to find her. Due to political tensions with the Congo, a shadowrun is planned to get her back to the country.

==Meet==

The runners head over to Damian's, a traditional-style American diner in Downtown. Hurricane is recognised by the waitress and makes her day by signing a picture for her little brother who is a big PABL fan. As the rest of the party trickle in, they are invited into the employee area to meet with their Johnson.

He is waiting for them in a walk-in freezer, calmly smoking a cigarette and wearing a very classic trenchcoat and fedora combo. The run is pitched to them, with quite a lot of information given by the Johnson. It is yet unclear who he represents, though the runners suspect Ares. Once a price is decided, the runners depart to make preparations for their journey into the Congo.

==Run==

Having been issued temporary Fake SINs by the Johnson, the runners hitch a ride on a large transport plane to a secluded landing strip deep in the Congo, their SINs allowing them to remain hidden alongside a group of aid workers transporting relief supplies of food and medicine. Upon landing, the plane is immediately searched at gunpoint by a Lieutenant of the local warlord, a notoriously violent individual called Masud Al'Kwassi, who controls this area of the former Salonga National Park. The runners make a poor show of blending in, with their heavy cyberware and weapons outing them as something other than relief workers, and are shaken down by soldiers. Hurricane attempts to defuse the situation, but some poor execution on his part results in the Lieutenant callously shooting a young man through the throat to interrupt Hurricane. The runners pay an exorbitant bribe to the Lieutenant to ensure the aid workers' well-being.

With the initial introductions done, the runners are greeted by a contact from their Johnson who provides a vehicle for Crosswind, a highly modified Jeep Trailblazer. Piling in, they waste little time in starting the long journey to the parazoological camp.

After a gruelling ride through the jungle, the runners arrive near the base and attempt a stealthy approach. They see through Crosswind's drones that the camp has been occupied by mercenaries, among them two individuals that appear to be magical specialists. Through one of the drones, they overhear a conversation between a pistol specialist and one merc that leads them to suspect the mercenaries will soon begin executing hostages to make the parazoologist talk. Judging that time is of the essence, and especially with T-Bone pushing for an immediate attack to avoid civilian casualties, the team moves into position to strike.

Their initial stealth is quickly lost, and a fast, bloody gunfight ensues. T-Bone is knocked out temporarily, almost joined by West who had taken the front line of the attack. Hurricane flanked to the side, before being intercepted by a sword adept. The two fought tooth and nail, though it was cut short when T-Bone shot the adept in the back while she was distracted with Hurricane. The boxer tried to save her, but she swallowed a cyanide pill rather than take his help. The mystic adept leading the LOGOS team came out shortly after the strike began, quickly summoning two Wild Spirits he had previously convinced to aid his cause. Crosswind thundered onto the scene soon after and using precise drone-assisted targeting managed to damage the Earth spirit, allowing T-Bone to take it out. West cleaned up most of the mercs, bashing one in the face with the butt of his shotgun and knocking them out. With the destruction of the Earth spirit and the rest of the LOGOS team, the Mist Spirit fled the scene rather than be banished.

The team found Lauren Whyte in a hut, heavily wounded and delirious from days of torture at the hands of LOGOS. Hurricane patched her up, but not before overhearing her mumbling about a golden butterfly. Using the trucks still at the campsite, the runners escort the remaining students along with Lauren back to the airport.

There, they are met by the Lieutenant again, and with him... their Johnson, now wearing casual shorts, Hawaiian shirt, and sunglasses. They are informed that only Lauren has passage out of the country, which is confirmed by their Johnson. He tells them in no small words to "do their job", but Hurricane and T-Bone are having none of it. With tensions mounting, Hurricane sacrifices a large part of his run reward to get the students out of the country.

==Aftermath==

Lauren Whyte is dropped off along with the Johnson at a small UCAS military airfield near New York City. The runners are paid and make their way back to Seattle. A few days later, there is a news report about a heroic UCAS operation, betwenn the CIA and local Congo forces to rescue the parazoologist and the students. A mock press conference is held, and the runners are not mentioned at any point.

==Background==

After being dishonourably discharged from the MET2K for his callousness in battle, Aden Grogali arrives in Seattle with a vengeance. He spends months finding like-minded individuals, gangers with high-level combat skills, former mercs, gathering them into a squad of trained killers with which he begins to wreak havoc among the Syndicates operating in and around Puyallup.

Hearing of the Yakuza-Triad war heating up, he decides to fan the flames by kidnapping the son of Spider Kage, a powerful Yak lieutenant operating out of the Seattle Downtown and Tacoma areas. He gives the man an ultimatum, either attack the Kat's Cradle, a go-gang who do deliveries for the Italian Mafia in Puyallup City, or his son's life is forfeit.

==Meet==

The runners head to a Yak-owned club near the southern Downtown docks to meet with Spider Kage. They receive a less-than-warm welcome from their new employers, especially Rabbit due to her vampiric nature and prior indiscretions against the Yakuza and Rook for his Ork heritage. They are told the stakes of the run, and a healthy compensation is laid on the table for them in either nuyen or cyberware and weapons. Furthermore, they are told of a lower-end club near the Bellevue-Redmond border which Spider Kage's son used to frequent.

==Run==

Making their way to a safe house first, the runners decide to investigate the kidnapping site at the Bellevue border club. Heading there, they are greeted by some ganger guards outside. Rabbit makes a show of intimidating one of them, go so far as to reveal her vampiric nature. The ganger is stunned with fear, though his fellow draws his weapon and backs away, calling for help. A stand-off quickly ensues and the rest of the group scatters, leaving Rabbit alone with them. Deciding they are not worth her time, she legs it, taking some fire from the gangers in the process.

After things have cooled off slightly, along with some chiding words to Rabbit from Snake Eyes in particular. He and Rook return to the club disguised as mercs looking for Rabbit, using her blunder to their advantage while Marion and Rabbit comb through a nearby alleyway, the location where the son was kidnapped, under their RPC cloaks. Following some questioning of the gang boss by Snake Eyes along with rubbing a bit of nuyen under his nose to smooth things along. They get access to the gang's camera footage and learn through analyzing them along with help from Rabbit's KE contact that the attackers are probably a man by the name of Aden Grogali and his men.

They use KE's info on the man to narrow down the potential location to a place in Puyallup near the Neon Killing. Waiting for the cover of night, they make their way there. Reaching a small, abandoned town, the runners scope it out first and find evidence of the Grogali gang's activity. They decide on a frontal assault with Rook leading the way.

Things go wrong at the start, however, as Rook's Astral Beacon gets him spotted by a patrolling Fire Spirit. Combat begins as the gangers move to investigate the disturbance, taking fire from Marion as they advance. One ganger lays down some suppressing fire to pin the runners down, but he is swiftly decapitated by Rabbit. A brutal, dirty firefight ensues as Rook charges forward, getting quickly cut off and surrounded by gangers. He is nearly overwhelmed by the volume of explosive rounds before escaping back to the team. Marion does his best, downing a heavily armored Troll and another ganger, even firing an Anti-Vehicle missile at Grogali who miraculously survives with little discomfort. The fight reaches its peak when Rabbit charges into their building to engage the mage, she gets gunned down by Aden and another ganger. Seeing no chance, and with Marion and Snake Eyes down for the moment, Rook grabs the two unconscious runners and retreats with gangers and an angry Air Spirit hot on his heels.

Back in the building, the gangers think Rabbit dead, not noticing as her Regeneration power kicks in and she stirs from the floor. Aden and the mage discuss moving the Yak boy away, blissfully unaware as Rabbit slowly raises her missile launcher and shoots an Anti-Vehicle rocket at the mage. He detonates in a shower of giblets as she makes her escape, narrowly avoiding the retaliatory fire from Aden and the ganger guard. (Burns 1 Edge to Smackdown a Defense Test).

With the run failed, the runners call Spider Kage to inform him but are put on hold for a moment. When he does take their call, his voice is tinged with a cold rage. His son has just been executed by Aden Grogali in vengeance for the death of the latter's mage. Frustrated himself, Rook berates the Yakuza man, insulting him over the comm. In anger Spider Kage declares them his enemies and places bounties on all their heads.

==Aftermath==

Spider Kage lost his son after he was executed by Aden Grogali. The Italian Mafia was not involved in the ongoing Yak-Triad war. The runners and their Fixers lose reputation with the Shotozumi Gumi and bounties are placed on their heads.

Anything there is to say about this debacle is already over the wires, sorry to say. It should've been a clean and respectful job for the Yak, but Rabbit and Rook saw fit to make it a dogs breakfast, unfortunately. I'm grateful to rook for pulling me out, but I can't help but see that he contributed to that situation in the first place. Alas; there's nothing that can be done now.

Long story short, a team that couldn't work together bit off more than we could chew and we got fragged for it.

==Background==

The bug hive threatening the Haven is using an insect shaman, one Matthew Garneau, to summon more of their "kind". Their expansion has made them look for additional shamans to bring over and aid them, which lead Matthew to approach a friend of his in Lela Canales, another street mage. She became suspicious of his advances, however, and through posting about it on some shady Matrix sites caught the attention of the Aztech J working alongside Booker, Ashe, and the other runners looking into the bug hive. He organised a run to kidnap Matthew by attempting a sting operation through Lela and interrogate him for the location of the bug hive.

==Meet==

The runners make their way to the Everett Marina where they have been told an Evo Johnson has work for them. The messages from their Fixers seem strangely vague, and some of the runners are uneasy even before they meet their future employer. From the marina, they are ferried to a large, high-class yacht sitting in the Puget Sound. There they are greeted by a sparse crew, mostly guards and personafixed waiters, and their supposedly Evo Mr Johnson. After some negotiations, a price is decided on and though they question the Johnson about his true affiliation, they are greeted by smug silence.

==Run==

Having been given a meeting with a Bot'Kham smuggler named Marcelo Rojas who is providing security for Lela at noon the next day, the runners rest and make their way to the Ork Underground to meet their contact. With T-Bone leading the way inside and Dapper waiting back on street level in their van, the team heads down and into some more sparsely populated areas of the Underground. They start becoming concerned when the comm-code that was given to them to contact Marcelo with fails to become active. Arriving at the location of the smuggler hideout, they find other armed Bot'Kham members there and after a tense meeting find that Marcelo has been killed and Lela was taken by Orc mercenaries. Identifying one of these mercs as Havok, a bug-inhabited former Haven runner, the team tracked down Lela using one of her foci she dropped at the hideout in their confusion. Once A pinpointed her location, Cobra took over and followed her scent trail through the sewers. The trail guided them to a disused transfer station, where they were detected by camera drones run by the bugged rigger known as Lilly, another former Haven runner. After a brutal confrontation with two Ork mercs and a Hellhound, the three runners present along with Dapper in a Doberman assault the shaman and his entourage.

A brutal combat ensues, with the runners being hard-pressed early by the tenacity of the Ork mercs and Havok's intervention. Cobra rushes forward and quickly neutralises the shaman, but not before they call in two Force 4 bug scouts to aid the combat. She is left to fend for herself against two mercs and the spirits, managing eventually to take them out but not without significant trouble. T-Bone and Dapper, along with A throwing down fireballs on the mercs fight back well, but things start coming apart when Dapper's Doberman is hit by flechettes from an Ork merc and disabled, knocking the rigger out the fight and almost killing him with Biofeedback. The three remaining continue to struggle, with T-Bone falling unconscious temporarily from a savage attack by Havok. Seeing that the combat is taking too long for his liking, however, the bug takes a more direct approach, mutating his flesh body to better serve in combat, assuming a gruesome hybrid form. Meanwhile, Cobra is also knocked out, one Ork merc attempting to drown her before the stim-patch she had primed kicks in and she turns the tables on him. With his ranks thinning and T-Bone revived by A, Havok takes the offensive and impales A into a wall with a deep stab from his katana, knocking her out of the fight as well. T-Bone, seeing his opportunity, raises his Ares Alpha and pumps a stream of armour-piercing bullets into the bugged runner, finally ending the abomination's rampage.

With their enemies dead around them, the runners are greeted shortly after by the Bot'Kham who had followed the sounds of the drawn-out firefight. The leader executes one surviving Ork merc, paying back the blood debt owed by Marcelo's murder and allows the others to take the shaman away. They part not on friendly terms perhaps, but at least with common understanding.

==Aftermath==

The runners call their J from a secure location and have the shaman picked up by a recovery team. Now that he is in Aztech's hands, Matthew is tortured relentlessly until he spills information on the bug hive and its whereabouts.

With the prospects before him either a life of crime on the streets or joining something bigger than himself, he took the plunge and enlisted into the UCAS military at 18. His training saw him transferred to where his skills could be put to good use, the Rangers, and he served two tours deployed in a number of hot-spots across the globe.

The military made a good life for him, but Booker saw better prospects elsewhere in the private sector. He became a soldier-for-hire, his skills bringing him the money and lifestyle that he had always dreamed of. He didn't put much thought into what he was being paid to do, he was a gun to be pointed and fired for all he was concerned. That was until they stabbed him in the back, a cover-up for some PR scandal that was threatening the corp. He wouldn't be just a pawn to be sacrificed when it was necessary, however, so he gathered what resources he had and burned his old life down. Now new prospects await, and the man known as Booker is eager to strike it fresh in the shadows.

In essence, he is a military vet with a chip on his shoulder and the muscle to back up his words. He has a bit of a temper and can seem cold or even insulting to others, easily escalating situations when he feels threatened or insulted. For those that get to know him better, however, he can prove a valued and loyal friend, one whose abrasive exterior is tempered by a brotherly nature and a personal code of ethics. This isn't some soulless automaton, but a proud, if damaged, soldier who won't back down if intimidated.

==Overview==

A veteran of over two decades in the UCAS Marines sniper corps, Master Gunnery Sergeant Michael Buchanan dedicated the majority of his adult life to his country (or what's left of it). Over his career he was deployed in almost every conceivable combat zone, and he has a clinical knowledge of almost every firearm known to meta-humanity. He could have scored a training gig in Ares, Saeder-Krupp, or nearly any PMC out there, but he declined them all.

See Michael is a man of simple needs, he runs an excellent firing range in Snohomish, in fact one of the only places in the Seattle area where you can shoot at over a mile. If you have the skill, he might even invite you to one of his exclusive shooting competitions. These draw in marksmen from across Seattle and even beyond.

ShadowHaven is a term that encompasses the infrastructure to support shadow runners. The core of the ShadowHaven is a host that runs a software that helps fixers and johnsons manage the large roster of shadow runners in Seattle and worldwide. Shadow vendors, however, have found value in advertising their wares or setting up virtual storefronts. Runners have taken it as a place to share valuable data that keeps them alive. Further, the runners have established front companies to blend their operations into the world. The haven is defended by the deckers and technomancer runners, in addition to a free sprite called [[Hipster Machine]], named for the record player its code was found on.

==Joining the Haven==

Joining the Haven is an exciting time for a runner. Typically, the pathway to becoming a legit shadow runner involves a long slog of low-level work or slowly gaining a network in order to get the recommendations. During this early career, the runner may gain the attention of a fixer who will start managing them and getting them fancier, but still low-level jobs. After some time doing grunt work for the corporations, their fixer along with 3 johnsons will send their recommendations for the runner to join the ShadowHaven. These recommendations aren’t given lightly, as recommending too many low-quality runners will result in having your recommendations ignored.

===Challenge App===

Once an agent of the Haven - often called a minion - reviews your application package, they will set up a time for a physical meeting. At this meeting, you will be given a datachip with an application that allows a runner to connect to the ShadowHaven host. It is encrypted with a key on your assigned minion’s and your fixer’s apps. This application automates the process of using challenge coins, allowing to know that they are talking with a Haven verified fixer, runner, Johnson or vendor. The app also contains a one-time pad listing transponder frequencies to be used in case the ShadowHaven host is offline. Members can choose not to reveal their status to others. That is, revealing ShadowHaven status requires a user consent.

If a runner walks into the long tunnels making up the Haven’s host, they could tap on any wall to bring up their runner profile.

The runner profile will list a message of the day, statistics about the Haven host and membership, news items filtered based on the runner’s preferences and likely jobs available for the runner to apply to, private messages, the number of replies to posts in the social areas of the Haven, and finally the runner’s Q-score.

Q-score is an in-character way to address a runner’s combined street cred, public awareness and notoriety. It is generated based off comments and reviews left by other runners, fixers, and johnsons. It will also take into account news stories from on the matrix about the shadow runner.

The Vory as a whole have a reputation for being hard, tough, and ruthless. For Alexey Dorosov, these traits were just something he was born with. A giant of an Orc, standing at almost two and a half meters tall of chiseled muscle and shining chrome. His skin is marked with tattoos and symbols of all kinds, and he bears his fangs long and sharp with the pride of a true Ork. He values strength and daring, and aspires to emulate these in his the way he does business.

He arrived in Seattle a few months ago from somewhere in Eastern Europe. Some rumors say that he was a Vory hit-man there, others that he's been sent by the inner circle to expand their operations in the metroplex. Whatever the case, his arrival caused a radical shift in the power structure of the gang in Redmond, with rapid, and brutal internal purges cementing him as the alpha dog within the Vory in Redmond.

But don't be fooled by his brutish exterior, Alexey is no dumb beast. Behind his ferocious visage lies a cunning, if almost bestial, mind. He's ambitious, loud, and doesn't take drek from anyone.

The first rule of the table is that we are here to have fun. This means that out of the game you can comment on, joke about, or just quote memes for all I care. I do ask for at least a level of decency, and comments that might make another player uncomfortable will, of course, be sorted out and not repeated. If you're not having fun, or feel cheated at any point then I ask that you speak up immediately.

I accommodate any level of player, from newbies to veterans, and characters on my table follow the concept of "assumed competence" to a high degree. This means that they will show common sense in most situations, and not make silly, avoidable mistakes.

===Setting & RP===

If I have to describe my style in a single word, it's about immersion.
For the few hours we spend together at a table, you are going to be
acting out the actions of a character in a living, breathing world. The
figures you meet on the way, the rain you might have to duck into a
café to escape from, these are all components of the much larger whole
your characters inhabit.

As such, I put emphasis on roleplaying out sometimes even mundane scenes such as ordering a soycaf or paying a speeding ticket. It's these seemingly insignificant moments that I love in RPGs when the world comes alive in small, everyday ways.

===The Preamble===

Arriving at the meet is not simply a test, or a basic listing off of items on my table. It's about sliding into character through a small scene before the run fully begins. During this time I will be having you interact with the world, going into whatever detail is appropriate.

This does mean that the "Meet" component of the run takes longer on average than on most tables, and will contain long stretches where you might not be saying anything while others are RPing. Even so, I would not trade this time in for mere efficiency.

===Combat===

Enemies didn't acquire a gun just to lie down and die, and they got lives just as diverse and important as any runner. They will fight tooth and nail if the runners go lethal, and players should expect them to use the tactics and combat sense appropriate to their level. This also means that fights to the death are rare, and should the odds be stacked against them opponents will retreat if they are able or surrender if desperate enough.

Combat on my table is brutal, and underestimating your opponents can and will result in burning edge if you get unlucky. People that stand and fight against runners aren't your run-of-the-mill opponents, so act accordingly. So stick together, count your bullets, and take them down.

===Constructive Criticism===

Now I may be a GM with years of experience (such modesty right?), but I know that counts for jack shit when I fuck up and someone stops having fun at my table. So at the end of every run, I take some time to ask each player what they thought of it, positive or negative moments they had during play, and any constructive criticism they can roast me with.

After being dishonourably discharged from the MET2K for his callousness in battle, Aden Grogali arrives in Seattle with a vengeance. He spends months finding like-minded individuals, gangers with high-level combat skills, former mercs, gathering them into a squad of trained killers with which he begins to wreak havoc among the Syndicates operating in and around Puyallup.

Hearing of the Yakuza-Triad war heating up, he decides to fan the flames by kidnapping the son of Spider Kage, a powerful Yak lieutenant operating out of the Seattle Downtown and Tacoma areas. He gives the man an ultimatum, either attack the Kat's Cradle, a go-gang who do deliveries for the Italian Mafia in Puyallup City, or his son's life is forfeit.

The runners head to a Yak-owned club near the southern Downtown docks to meet with Spider Kage. They receive a less-than-warm welcome from their new employers, especially Rabbit due to her vampiric nature and prior indiscretions against the Yakuza and Rook for his Ork heritage. They are told the stakes of the run, and a healthy compensation is laid on the table for them in either nuyen or cyberware and weapons. Furthermore, they are told of a lower-end club near the Bellevue-Redmond border which Spider Kage's son used to frequent.

Making their way to a safe house first, the runners decide to investigate the kidnapping site at the Bellevue border club. Heading there, they are greeted by some ganger guards outside. Rabbit makes a show of intimidating one of them, go so far as to reveal her vampiric nature. The ganger is stunned with fear, though his fellow draws his weapon and backs away, calling for help. A stand-off quickly ensues and the rest of the group scatters, leaving Rabbit alone with them. Deciding they are not worth her time, she legs it, taking some fire from the gangers in the process.

After things have cooled off slightly, along with some chiding words to Rabbit from Snake Eyes in particular. He and Rook return to the club disguised as mercs looking for Rabbit, using her blunder to their advantage while Marion and Rabbit comb through a nearby alleyway, the location where the son was kidnapped, under their RPC cloaks. Following some questioning of the gang boss by Snake Eyes along with rubbing a bit of nuyen under his nose to smooth things along. They get access to the gang's camera footage and learn through analyzing them along with help from Rabbit's KE contact that the attackers are probably a man by the name of Aden Grogali and his men.

They use KE's info on the man to narrow down the potential location to a place in Puyallup near the Neon Killing. Waiting for the cover of night, they make their way there. Reaching a small, abandoned town, the runners scope it out first and find evidence of the Grogali gang's activity. They decide on a frontal assault with Rook leading the way.

Things go wrong at the start, however, as Rook's Astral Beacon gets him spotted by a patrolling Fire Spirit. Combat begins as the gangers move to investigate the disturbance, taking fire from Marion as they advance. One ganger lays down some suppressing fire to pin the runners down, but he is swiftly decapitated by Rabbit. A brutal, dirty firefight ensues as Rook charges forward, getting quickly cut off and surrounded by gangers. He is nearly overwhelmed by the volume of explosive rounds before escaping back to the team. Marion does his best, downing a heavily armored Troll and another ganger, even firing an Anti-Vehicle missile at Grogali who miraculously survives with little discomfort. The fight reaches its peak when Rabbit charges into their building to engage the mage, she gets gunned down by Aden and another ganger. Seeing no chance, and with Marion and Snake Eyes down for the moment, Rook grabs the two unconscious runners and retreats with gangers and an angry Air Spirit hot on his heels.

Back in the building, the gangers think Rabbit dead, not noticing as her Regeneration power kicks in and she stirs from the floor. Aden and the mage discuss moving the Yak boy away, blissfully unaware as Rabbit slowly raises her missile launcher and shoots an Anti-Vehicle rocket at the mage. He detonates in a shower of giblets as she makes her escape, narrowly avoiding the retaliatory fire from Aden and the ganger guard. (Burns 1 Edge to Smackdown a Defense Test).

With the run failed, the runners call Spider Kage to inform him but are put on hold for a moment. When he does take their call, his voice is tinged with a cold rage. His son has just been executed by Aden Grogali in vengeance for the death of the latter's mage. Frustrated himself, Rook berates the Yakuza man, insulting him over the comm. In anger Spider Kage declares them his enemies and places bounties on all their heads.

Spider Kage lost his son after he was executed by Aden Grogali. The Italian Mafia was not involved in the ongoing Yak-Triad war. The runners and their Fixers lose reputation with the Shotozumi Gumi and bounties are placed on their heads.

===Summary===
Born in the gutters of New York and forced to fight at an early age, it didn't take long for Booker to find that he had a knack for violence. With the prospects before him either a life of crime on the streets or joining something bigger than himself, he took the plunge and enlisted into the UCAS military at 18. His training saw him transferred to where his skills could be put to good use, the Rangers, and he served two tours deployed in a number of hot-spots across the globe.

The military made a good life for him, but Booker saw better prospects elsewhere in the private sector. He became a soldier-for-hire, his skills bringing him the money and lifestyle that he had always dreamed of. He didn't put much thought into what he was being paid to do, he was a gun to be pointed and fired for all he was concerned. That was until they stabbed him in the back, a cover-up for some PR scandal that was threatening the corp. He wouldn't be just a pawn to be sacrificed when it was necessary, however, so he gathered what resources he had and burned his old life down. Now new prospects await, and the man known as Booker is eager to strike it fresh in the shadows.

In essence, he is a military vet with a chip on his shoulder and the muscle to back up his words. He has a bit of a temper and can seem cold or even insulting to others, easily escalating situations when he feels threatened or insulted. For those that get to know him better, however, he can prove a valued and loyal friend, one whose abrasive exterior is tempered by a brotherly nature and a personal code of ethics. This isn't some soulless automaton, but a proud, if damaged, soldier who won't back down if intimidated.
