Sage was born in Boston to a middle-class family in 2030. His real name is Kwezi Kujo, but his street name is “Sage.” His parents were SINners, his father an African scientist and his mother a Japanese ex-soldier. When he was 10, he was identified as an Awakened and given the appropriate education at a preparatory school. At age 17 Kwezi enrolled in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Thaumaturgy. After eight years of hard work, he was conferred a Doctorate of Thaumaturgy (Th.D) in 2055. For many years he worked as a private detective and occult investigator, while doing a bit of bounty hunting and bodyguard work on the side. He usually dealt with missions to fight magical threats. (You know, blood magic, insect spirits, shadow spirits and toxic magic.) Kwezi decided to retire for a more quiet life after the catastrophic Matrix Crash of 2064. He became a respected professor at MIT&T, teaching Magical Theory and Defense Against Magical Threats. He also conducted research on artifacts as part of his duties. He has a close relationship to the DIMR due to this. Now, in 2080, Prof. Kujo has been drawn back to the shadows by the urging of his mentor spirit Fire-Bringer. Humanis has been a recurring thorn in Kujo's side for many years, and he wants to take them down a peg.

A prominent western dragon is on each bicep, and an assortment of stylized tattoos run along his dark brown skin ranging from Celtic knotwork to Egyptian hieroglyphic designs, stylized scrollwork along one forearm, a running dragon along another. The crowning piece is a classic-looking red serpent that dominates his chest, and on his back lies a bright red “A” in the center of a bright red circle. Kwezi has a full braided red beard. His curling ram-like horns are etched with Norse runes, and his tusks are carved with kanji. In the middle of his forehead is a tattoo of the Eye of Horus. He is slightly more slender than most trolls and has a narrow, tapered jaw with a mouthful of sharp teeth. His golden almond-shaped eyes show a look of constant curiosity.

The gang becomes professional wrestlers for the entertainment and monetary gain of Gui Furruri, a mysterious, excessively buff, and possibly supernatural showman.

The man, the myth, the legend, Gui Furruri, has gathered the finest of fistfighters of the Seattle Metroplex to face off in spectacular event of (Im)Mortal Kombat, but after watching his new recruits face off in a flurry of pile drive-ins, dingers, and dives, the great master of martial arts could not help but think that perhaps the tournament needed some spicing up, some new blood, maybe a lot of blood. Thus, he contacted a friend of a friend of a friend and had them send him their finest shadowrunners (at least the ones they could scrounge up).

A fish-SURGEd fighter hailing from the frozen east (New Jersey) with a slippery body and googly eyes. He's not sure what everyone's calling him, but he likes the attention.

A tenacious pair of gnomes with a talent for tricks and a toolbox of taunts who use terrifying teamwork to dismantle their opponents (by punching them of course).

===Rustbucket===
A massive orc with homemade full-body-replacement cyberware and a coat of rust that proves how long he's had it. He's also the winner of the coveted "Most Ingenious Ganger in Touristville" award for 3 straight years and is currently teaching himself how to read.

===Rick===
This great being has many storied names as a force of true darkness, the destroyer of criminals, lord of blades, scholar of swords, bearer of both trilby and fedora, wearer of black trenchcoats, and wielder of the sharpest katana in all of Seattle. He also has a fondness of nacho flavored chips and a very supportive mother.

===The Dragon of Seattle===
A man so old and so fierce, that he could parry blows and tear clothes with only a flex of his mighty muscles. Truly he is a man to be feared.

Who needs legs when you've got a Transys Steed? Wheels sure doesn't. He does need a shotgun tho. Just in case, you know, somebody tries to hit him.

===Crazy Ivan===
A completely neurotypical Russian man. He completed his mandatory military service with distinguished honors and just finished his PhD in Applied Physics before coming out to Seattle on vacation.

An old granny with a love for tea and horseraces. If you're not careful, she'll talk your ear off. Has demonstrated the ability to supernaturally transport her tea set and a small table when not observed.

His brother soon joined him with a bonk on the head and a slide under the net.

Mighty smashes, powerful bashes, and Herculean '''YEETS''' were the highlights of this breathtaking display of the limits of the human body. In the end, Sage and Roadie prevailed, defeating their fierce foe by only the narrowest of margins, while, of course, producing the finest entertainment this side of the Mississippi.

==Aftermath==
Koi was roused by a stim patch that smelled suspiciously of barbeque sauce.

Rasputin was released from prison (again) (probably).

Roadie and Sage went home with the trophy, a large, supposedly solid gold statuette of Gui Furruri himself. Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the figurine was instead chocolate wrapped in golden tinfoil.

With their fighting done and their prize collected, the gang celebrated their success with a few drinks before heading home to fight another day.

Nobody knows where Gui Furruri went. Some say he is still organizing quasi-legal fighting tournaments in middle-class gyms. Some believe he was never even in Seattle. Some still believe that he never even existed in the first place. It is not my place to say which one is true, or whether he will return. We will likely never scratch the surface of that man's mind, never comprehend what gears turn under that thin facade of sanity, but one thing is apparent: Kombat is (Im)Mortal.

For many years he worked as a private detective and occult investigator, while doing a bit of bounty hunting and bodyguard work on the side. He usually dealt with missions to fight magical threats. He is covered in tattoos and speaks in a noticeable accent. A prominent western dragon is on each bicep, and an assortment of stylized tattoos run along his dark brown skin ranging from Celtic knotwork to Egyptian hieroglyphic designs, stylized scrollwork along one forearm, a running dragon along another. The crowning piece is a classic-looking red serpent that dominates his chest, and on his back lies a bright red “A” in the center of a bright red circle. Kwezi has a full braided red beard. His curling ram-like horns are etched with Norse runes, and his tusks are carved with kanji. In the middle of his forehead is a tattoo of the Eye of Horus. He is slightly more slender than most trolls and has a narrow, tapered jaw with a mouthful of sharp teeth. His golden almond-shaped eyes show a look of constant curiosity.

Sage currently wears a fancy suit underneath of an armor jacket, and a red cloak trimmed with gold filigree. On runs he dons a pair of metallic gauntlets and a helmet sculpted to resemble a knight's, equipped with a gas mask and trodes. He wears his sword in an ornate scabbard on his hip.

===Summary===
Sage is an easygoing African-Japanese troll mage. He is a respected professor at MIT&T, teaching Magical Theory and Defense Against Magical Threats. A neatly dressed older fellow with a strong moral code, he hates the powers that be and wants to do his small part to bring them down. In his free time, he reads. Paper books from old libraries, cast-off papers, and forgotten letters fill his home. When not burying his nose in a book, he is an avid matrix gamer. He wants to become a famous writer (and become the greatest sword master in the world).

==Background==
Sage was born in Boston to a middle-class family in 2030. His real name is Kwezi Kujo, but his street name is “Sage.” His parents were SINners, his father an African scientist and his mother a Japanese ex-soldier. When he was 10, he was identified as an Awakened and given the appropriate education at a preparatory school. At age 17 Kwezi enrolled in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Thaumaturgy. After eight years of hard work, he was conferred a Doctorate of Thaumaturgy (Th.D) in 2055. For many years he worked as a private detective and occult investigator, while doing a bit of bounty hunting and bodyguard work on the side. He usually dealt with missions to fight magical threats. (You know, blood magic, insect spirits, shadow spirits and toxic magic.) Kwezi decided to retire for a more quiet life after the catastrophic Matrix Crash of 2064. He became a respected professor at MIT&T, teaching Magical Theory and Defense Against Magical Threats. He also conducted research on artifacts as part of his duties. He has a close relationship to the DIMR due to this. Now, in 2080, Prof. Kujo has been drawn back to the shadows by the urging of his mentor spirit Fire-Bringer. Humanis has been a recurring thorn in Kujo's side for many years, and he wants to take them down a peg.
