Akane Sawatari's journey from the streets of Japan to her role in the Hounds has been marked by hardship, resilience, and a newfound sense of self. Initially a low-ranking Finnigan Family grunt, she found herself in North America after an unfortunate stint as a Bunraku, hoping to escape the poverty of her origins.

	~~Akane grew up on the streets~~ of ~~Japan before getting in~~ with the wrong crowd. Hoping to make her way out of the poorer districts into a moderately well kept lifestyle, she tried to buddy up with the Yakuza. Shortly after she was shipped to North America as a Bunraku. For years she worked like that until a Finnigan raid ~~took out~~ the Yakuza parlour where she worked~~. Perhaps as an even crueler joke~~, ~~she was paired up~~ with ~~[[Spriggan]] as part~~ of ~~the Hounds~~, ~~where~~ both ~~her~~ and ~~Spriggan try~~ to keep the ~~fact that she was an Ex Yakuza under wraps~~.		The twist of fate came with a Finnigan raid that liberated Akane from the Yakuza parlour where she worked, setting her on a path that would intertwine with the enigmatic Lappland. Despite the shadows of her past, she and both Lappland and Karen worked diligently to keep her Yakuza history concealed within the secrets of the Syndicate.

	After ~~time has passed~~ and Akane ~~has gotten more skill~~ and ~~training under~~ her ~~belt~~, ~~she's still~~ the socially anxious and loveable ~~ragamuffin you've come to know~~, ~~but she's still quite skilled as both an infiltrations expert~~ and an ~~assassination expert~~. ~~Nobody in the Fins dare even ask about the~~ fact she ~~used to be~~ a Yakuza.		After the blowout that caused the O'Malleys to assassinate Lappland, Akane fled even after being saved by Lappland and her associates. But Akane's absence for a month, her return to live with her parents, and eventual reunion with her found family indicate a complex and evolving journey. The time away seems to have fostered personal growth, diminishing her anxiety and boosting her self-confidence. Her skills as a sneak have sharpened, unveiling a stern and lethal personality beneath the socially anxious exterior.

			Despite her ragamuffin charm and continued loveable nature, Akane has become a serious contender in the realms of infiltration and assassination. Her skills, honed through training and experience, make her an indispensable asset to her found family. The fact that she was once a Yakuza is a closely guarded secret, being kept secure by Lappland and Karen.
