This meant they'd have to play nice with other gangs, but otherwise maintain their existing territory. And it seemed like things were going well enough. ~~That was until the other gangs in this gang collective decided they~~ didn't like the ~~idea of their gang, period~~. Many of them were taken down. All high ranking members first, bosses first, going on down the line until they were at people like her. Fortunately, she had advanced warning by the time they got to her and a few others she had been hanging with at a karaoke bar.		The family of Oni weren't all that respected by those outside of their community. least of all the Yakuza. WHich made it all the more stress induicing when it became apparent that the Yakuza had their eye on this Oni crew. They made it quite obvious that they wanted nothing to do with their kind. But the Oni gang had proven time and again to be able to preotect their own, from outsider, from other gangs and punks, and even the Yakuza. It was the Yakuza that gave them the most grief, mostly the young upstarts that were often proven wrong when they though they could take on an Oni by their lonesome.

			It eventually got to a poiont where even the Yakuza had to recognize their prowess, and a deal was struck. They'd be accepted into the fold, allowed all the same benefits, and even given resources to set up their own home office. However, the Yakuza reps made it quite obvious that they'd never truly be Yakuza. And if it came down to it, no one would help them. A very foreboding situation.

			Her life changed for the second time during a meeting. By this point, she hadn't risen in the ranks much higher than what she already had. But, due to her reputation as a brutal fighter, she'd become trusted to escort higher ranking members of the gang and higher ranking Yakuza that wanted extra muscle. This meeting was meant to get them formally recognized as a Yakuza family among by the Yakuza leaders, or so it seemed. This meant they'd have to play nice with other gangs, but otherwise maintain their existing territory. And it seemed like things were going well enough. She didn't like how it was playing out one bit. It was almost like over night the Yakuza were being overly nice and chummy for the last while. That all changed when a plan in the works was sprung. Many of them were taken down. All high ranking members first, bosses first, going on down the line until they were at people like her. Fortunately, she had advanced warning by the time they got to her and a few others she had been hanging with at a karaoke bar.
