He has adopted the "Centurion" street-name in a bid to disguise his S-K origins and imply his military training derives from Ares.<br />

==Background==<br />
Formerly a Intelligence officer in the Saedur-Krupp military, Ryn was disgraced in February 2020 when he failed to predict an impending attack on S-K financial assets in the United Kingdom by HBR-sponsored shadow runners. Although his successful defence of the facility prevented the loss of valuable financial data, a falsely planted data-trail suggested that his failure to predict the attack was less the result of a faulty-interpretation of signals intelligence and more directly he result of corporate espionage and his apparent intent to defect to HBR.<br />
<br />
An internal investigation concluded that Ryn had either a: made a serious error of judgement or b: deliberately compromised operations as part of covert preparations for a subsequent extraction, only to reverse the decision at the last possible moment. Consequently, a decision was made by Ryan's superiors to have him permanently removed from the equation. Only the intervention of his parents, influential members of the Central African Division, spared Ryn's life. He know exists in a state of "Indefinite Suspension without Pay", and has taken it upon himself to make a new life for himself in the Shadows of Seattle.<br />
<br />
For the moment, Ryn and his family believe that he can redeem himself in the eyes of S-K if he can only make use of his shadow-runner status to uncover something valuable enough to regain the trust of his parent corporation. He acknowledges that any future he had as a Risk Analyst in his home corporation is gone for good, but he hopes he can redeem himself by uncovering valuable material in the shadows that might allow him to "come in from the cold" as a Shadow Asset, possibly becoming one of the companies many expendable "Mr Schmidt's." Whether or not this is wishful thinking remains to be seen, but S-K is not known as the most forgiving of corporations. It's just as likely that he may one day becomes just another snack for Lofwyr.<br />
