			Gilly McNaughton was born in 2062 on cult compound in rural Scottland. Her parents (Tilly and Oscar), along with the rest of their isolate community, were paleoconservative Asatru practitioners, harkening back to the Danelaw as their prelapsarian ideal. While never terribly politically active itself the compound had ties to fascist paramilitary groups such as Alamos 2k and remnants of Winternight and it often served as a place for fellow travelers to lay low, train or resupply.

			Gilly was raised in a profoundly misogynistic and patriarchal environment, and might have become another cog in that system if she hadn't set the barn on fire when she was 11. The cult, unlike a lot of 6th world Asatru groups, wholely rejected the Awakening, viewing metatypes as mythical monsters and awakened as arrogant meddlers in forces best left to the gods control-- so Gilly's awakening resulted in a shift from more subtle abuse intended to mold her into a submissive housewife, into directed rejection and ostracization. She was called Seiðr, ordered to suppress her gift. When simple denial failed was met with physical and emotional violence.

			When she began to dream of Loki, bound beneath the earth with serpents dripping acid into his eyes, he barely even needed to bargain before she accepted his patronage. A week later, she spread a can of petrol around the first floor of her house, locked the doors and used that first spell she had learned to burn the building to the ground and flee into the night. She was 13.

			Since then she's used her gifts, and the tutelage of her mentor, to parlay herself into a life in the Shadows. She cut her teeth in Glasgow with small time shit, street gangs and low level syndicate work, before moving on to London once she'd outgrown that pond (and once she'd made one too many enemies to stick around).

			London is where she made her first break into real shadowrunning, as an awakened filler. Little was expected of her (and the job didn't go well-- your first one never does), but she managed some success with her quick tongue and burgeoning talent as a demolitionist. She elected to hone these talents, in addition to her magic, becoming a clever conwoman and extremely skilled explosives expert.

			Eventually, London became too hot for her, so she moved to Berlin, following her contrarian nature to the homeland of Neo-Anarchism. She was largely disappointed with the place, so thoroughly domesticated since the fall of the Flux State, but made a runner life there for a few years regardless.

			After burning (or blowing up) her last bridge there, she made for France. That lasted about sixth months, and now she's in Seattle. Hopefully that trendline doesn't become a pattern.
