			Dog of the Ditch is what you would call a "Field Medic". Run, gun, and patch people up while the bullets are flying. He's taken his pharma skills to the dark, and that often lends itself to avoiding direct confrontation. He has a penchant for breaking and entering; moving between locked doors, poisoning. He skirts the line of quiet, sensitive operations; sneaking, and levying information with concoctions of truth serum and memory wipes. Then his other half; the half that doses a hard hit of kamikaze and switches to reckless abandon. It's a fine line between man and animal; between Avery John Walsh and Dog of the Ditch.

			Born 'Avery John Walsh'; he had a normal childhood. Loving parents. A comfortable home. All the opportunity of a college education in medicine and a promising career in corporate pharmaceuticals if he just stuck to the path. But life doesn't work out that way. It's not that there was any one incident; there was no inciting moment other than a slow decline into a world of bad news. A couple of chop shop jobs, a couple of home-cooked narcotics to earn a buck, a couple of hits of Long Haul just to keep the brainwaves firing. Soon 'Avery John Walsh' was succumbed to the lure of the streets. The potential of a corporate life was anathema to the person he had become.

	== Narrative Significant Qualities ==		He worked for a while running his own chop shop under the name 'John of the Ditch'. The ditch--the fall from grace--so far from where he came. "I could be working corp, but I'd rather be here." This is where he peddled his own pharmaceutical creations and stitched up bleeding shadowrunners; cut in a few cyberware jobs; picked people apart, put them back together again. It was other people that started calling him 'Dog' on account of how wild he was. Getting stitched up by 'Dog of the Ditch' was not a pleasant experience. Him, more likely to juice you on Nitro than pain killers; more likely to pull the bullet out with his teeth than calipers."Whatever gets the job done." His work was quick and brutal and some people appreciated that. Others were terrified by it.

			Bottom of the barrel was fine, for a time. But Dog of the Ditch always knew the reason he rejected the corporate life. He wanted to work on his own terms, earn his own money, live his own life free from the thumb of classist powers and a societal rules structure that he didn't choose. Now it's time for the Dog to climb out of the ditch and into the shadows.
