==Summary==
Free Seattle! continues its shadow pressure on the gubernatorial candidates in the Seattle Metroplex Election of ‘84. Sensing weakness in the Technocratic Party after the release of the Harrison Yuvlicht Expose, Émeraude plans to attack the candidate by highlighting the advanced age that Yuvlicht conceals behind his Leonization treatments.

==Background==
Émeraude is a Metroplex socialite, the daughter of the not-so-venerable, political-has-been former Governor Ivar J. Lindstrom. Her father is a supporter of the Technocratic Party (if not a fan of Yuvlicht the man) and is attending a fundraising gala in Downtown Seattle. Seeing an opportunity to get physically close to the powerful executive, Émeraude convinces Sizzles to attend the function as her date…and to surreptitiously poison him mid-event.

==The Meet==
Émeraude calls Sizzles and asks him out on a date. Confused, having only known her through fellow Shadowrunners, he agrees. They meet at a downtown spa, where the two awkwardly make small talk until Émeraude reveals that she needs a professional to help her deliver a contact poison to Yuvlicht. There will be no better opportunity to physically touch Yuvlicht than at the fundraising gala, but the special poisoner’s glove that she’s acquired is too big for her gnomish hand. Sizzles agrees to go with her to the event and poison the candidate, being told the poison is a mild one and will just cause him to fall embarrassingly ill in front of the drone cameras.

==The Plan==
Sizzles plans to accompany Émeraude to the event, mingle with her family, use his old-world etiquette from his New England upbringing to dissolve into the background of the event. Eventually former Governor Lindstrom and Yuvlicht will meet and, being part of the Lindstrom group, he’ll find an opportunity to discreetly make physical contact with the man and move away. Hopefully a few more people get the opportunity to shake hands before the poison kicks in and the man falls noticeably ill. And after the commotion dies down, move with the crowd out and back into the safety of the night.

==The Run==
Everything runs smoothly, at first. Sizzles and Émeraude arrive at the event. Quickly, however, Sizzles realizes that Émeraude is a cool and confident planner but is a nervous wreck in action. Sizzles works to shield her anxious and suspicious behaviour from the observant Horizon executive protection specialists and the hotel security staff.

The two share a lot of space to interact, and Sizzles aces his first impression with Émeraude’s father Ivar. Later, sensing that Yuvlicht will be approaching their table soon, Sizzles excuses himself to focus on taking a Matrix call. Subtly, using stealth and etiquette to cover himself, Sizzles carefully dons the poisoned glove and returns to the table.

Shortly after he meets with Yuvlicht, who is very sharp and observant despite his advanced age. Sizzles puts on a convincing performance as an overenthusiastic civil engineering postgrad student angling for a post-election spot in his administration. Having ensured he’ll be remembered for the wrong thing, and wearing a disguise, he eventually shakes Yuvlicht’s hand and succeeds on another Palming test to not poison himself accidentally.

A few moments later, having moved on, Yuvlicht vomits on himself and partially collapses to the floor. Horizon security swoops in with his traveling physician to attend to the candidate and quickly the event is canceled. Sizzles and a nervous Émeraude escape with the crowd out the building into a waiting car before a swarm of racing news drones can make it to the hotel.

==Aftermath==
Sizzles takes Émeraude out for a post-mission burger and to a screening of the 18th installment of a schlocky cyber-samurai action film. Afterwards she tells him to bend down so she can kiss his cheek, as she drops him off at a hotel, and Sizzles fails his roll to not catch feelings.

==Rewards==
Low Threat Level (9 RVP)

4,000 Nuyen towards a single suit of fashion armor (2 RVP)
