A failure of a magic-user looking to prove herself as a street sam.
===Goals===
Hecate wants to prove herself to... herself.
==Background==
When Hecate awakened, her parents were excited. Magic-capable people are rare, and having one in the family would be a great honor. However, Hecate was never able to do anything beyond seeing onto the astral and occasionally feeling the emotional impressions left on items or in places. Her parents never said anything about it, they just... stopped talking about it entirely. Hecate knew she had disappointed her parents though. When the Amazonian war started she signed up to try to prove herself, and while she did learn how to use a sniper rifle she was woefully incapable of learning anything else of note for being a soldier. Even though she was a failure of a magic-user she was kept around as simply being able to see spirits is valuable. This caused her to be injured during an attack by gnawers on her unit. So, in an effort to make her more valuable her commanding officer had her undergo surgery to get active hardwires for a variety of skills (though they didn't always have the best hardwires on hand). Over time she got more and more augmentations to try to make herself better, always looking for something that would allow her the ability to do something worthwhile. She's currently residing in Redmond, near Glow City.
