			Esmerelda was the eldest of four siblings in a highly religious Ork family. Being the only one of her siblings to be affected by the SURGE growing up was hard in the Barrens of Seattle. She protected her siblings as best she could from bullies, wild animals. Falling in with a local street gang in her early teens she developed an interest in cars. Her natural strength and her magical aptitude made her a great help in the gang's chop shop. Learning a bit about cars, gangs, smuggling routes for the parts that left the shop and even the knowledge of how the law operated on the streets.

			This hard but relatively peaceful life would end a few months after she turned 18 as car was brought into the shop for the usual treatment. Noone was ready for the raid that happened. the car was being tracked by the star. And by the time anyone realized the law was already breaking down their doors and rounding them up.

			This is what brought her to prison where she would spend the next 2 years. Upon leaving she was saddled with a criminal SIN and a greater distaste for the law. While she could have gone straight from there she went right back to what put her in jail in the first place. Joining a mechanic's shop that she knew was secretly another chop shop she put on the front of a gainfully employed SINner while after work she did her best to find a Fixer, and a Ride. She was going to make herself proper scrip and maybe open a chop shop of her own one day.
