Randel was born to a fairly poor wageslave family, barely scaping by. Despite this, they tried to raise them as best they could, and he was able to get a decent education despite his blindness. As he grew up, he started hearing whispers, voices in his dreams telling him that he had potential, and that he could help change to world. Being somewhat gullible, Randel listened to these whispers, going into the shadows when he became an adult, letting the whispers guide him. He believes that the voices are leading him to the ability to bring a brighter future for this world, a change that brings a better life for everyone.
