Born in Aztlan, she was conscripted into the military at a young age. Her innate magical talent was soon discovered, and she was trained as a Red Magic Adept, specializing in combat and protective magic. Miriam’s abilities made her a formidable force on the battlefield, where she experienced the gruesome reality of war: ghouls preying on the wounded, rivers of blood, and the terror of seeing a dragon in battle.

			The war left Miriam with deep psychological scars. The nightmares of her experiences, especially the horrors brought upon by the dark entities and the blood magic wielded by enemies, haunt her to this day. Diagnosed with PTSD, she has spent years working through her trauma, determined to find some semblance of peace and normalcy.

			After the war, Miriam found herself caught by the very megacorporation that had been a major player in the conflict—Aztechnology. Recognizing her incredible skills and extensive combat experience, Aztechnology offered her a stark choice: face imprisonment or work for them. Opting for the latter, Miriam was conscripted into their ranks, transitioning from a soldier in a chaotic war to a highly valued corporate security asset. Her new role would see her protecting some of Aztechnology’s most valuable assets, leveraging her abilities to defend high-profile executives and secure critical facilities.

			Now closer to retirement age, Miriam has settled into a less intense, yet still demanding role within Aztechnology. The corporate giant values her extensive combat experience and magical prowess. Her primary duty is to ensure the safety and security of high-value corporate targets. Miriam’s position involves overseeing security operations in a stealthy, plainclothes role, responding to potential threats, and utilizing her Red Magic abilities to protect and defend.

			Outside of work, Miriam leads a relatively quiet life. She avoids crowded and noisy places, preferring the tranquility of her modest home. Gardening has become a therapeutic hobby for her, a way to cultivate life and find peace. She also participates in a support group for veterans, where she shares her experiences and helps others cope with their own traumas. She also has a knack for pottery, spending some of her time with her online side business of selling hand made pottery like her family did back when she lived in Amazonia.
