==Background==
Pumpking Jack, for a time, inherited a spirit information network held by a gum toad in the interstice between the Metaplane of Man and Id. He's lost increasing amounts of control of it since, partly due to Horizon's stunt last year.

==The Meet==
Bone Daddy's arranged a meeting with shadowrunners and Pumpking Jack, a spirit of Man aiming to create a Halloween celebration. He wants to work on a surprise, restoring greater connection to the spirit world for the sake of metahumans and spirits alike, but his connections in the spirit world are stifled due to an old nemesis. He wants the runners to go snipe the charlatan! Reluctantly, the party agrees.

==The Plan==
Head to the metaplane, petition the court for information and hunt down the damnable toad obstructing Jack's plans.

==The Run==
Navigating the Metaplane of Man can be difficult at times but due to some of the runners having prior experience in where to go, it can be handled without particularly concerning risks. Once they're at the same old court of spirit quests, a new spirit seems to be holding court and demands to know what the mortals desire. When it's elaborated that they want information on the gum toad, the spirit finds that the mortals don't exactly have anything he currently wants so the initial offer is refused. However, many of the other petitioners offer alternative bargains to assist with the situation. Through finessing with suspicious fae-like spirits and suit-wearing strangers (and refusing some deals as well), the team gets enough clout in the spirit court to figure out the gum toad's location, hiding further down in the abyss-like pit in the metaplane.

As the team confronts the gum toad, it offers no immediate fight, realizing it's outnumbered. Instead, it proposes a deal to reinstate it in its old position in exchange for saving all of Sophocles. Due to the spirit lacking the ability to elaborate much further out of fear of being stabbed in the back once its value is spent, the spirit's banished permanently. Ominous portents it hinted to implied that the grand tower of Babel that Pumpking Jack attempts to build is doomed to fail no matter what the party or the spirit attempts. All that they can do is try to convince the spirit of this fool's errand.

==Aftermath==
* Geodesic took a spirit marker for an exiled fae in the Metaplane of Man to let it witness the Resonance Realms through her eyes for 15 months OR surrender her hand to it for 15 months.
* Gomorrah, Babylon's ally spirit delivered a combat stim shipment to the Skraacha due to a suspicious omen. Ghaz is terrified.
* Babylon owes service to Charon and Crescent-Slash as they plan to heist Sohayamaru from Asahiro (concerning!) She also agreed to participate in a hunt in the exiled fae's stead if called.
* Cleaner Cleaner owes a spirit marker to the exiled fae to engage in a hunt for the Wild Hunt. The fae has blown the horn of the hunt. The devil of the jungle is called to Seattle to hunt her. Winner takes all.
* Zan Zan got to be rad. No bugdragon though. Sad! RARE CASE OF NOT MAKING LUDICROUS DEALS
* The gum toad is permanently banished and revealed the same sigils that denote Zaleos' name across Sophocles have matching 'shadow' reflections somewhere in the metaplanes which have become corrupted and are interfering with Jack's plans.
* Zaleos arranges for an unremitting debtor to agree to a year-long possession for a spirit Babylon has contacts to.
