The spirits he called were weak, fragmented, his intention to build a dominant personality in the image of his daughter, a copy of her memories reborn. He succeeded, to a degree. Ultimately, the spirit did retain an impression of the girl's past, an identity and ego continued. But the differences glare at her, mismatches of expectation and reality, of memory and past. Sometimes she dreams of worlds beyond, of planes unseen, of instincts and drives she shouldn't.
