	She was stationed at The Forge in Japan for her final sequence of trials and training before she would be fully worthy of becoming a Red Samurai, though being placed there meant she would encounter ...and eventually learn the cold truth herself of the dark rivalry between the Red and Blue Samurai groups. During her training, she would meet other candidates, including getting introduced to the Blue Samurai. However, her performance in her tasks stirred jealousy, envy, and suspicion among the Blue Samurai in general, and many deemed her as potential competition between the Red and Blue's unhealthy rivalry. This led to a group of Blue Samurai entering a shadowy operation, looking for ways to bring her down, and shame her in ways that would deny her honor to ascend into full Red Samurai status. As they researched more about her, they learned her origins from EVO, and sought to betray and frame her.

	The group of Blue Samurai got into subtle contact with EVO, and arranged a deal to get rid of Minamoto, to return her back to EVO's grasp. EVO, thrilled by this, hired cold-hearted shadowrunners to conduct an operation that would remove Minamoto from Renraku, and stop any chance of her ascending into a full Red Samurai. The Shadowrunners kidnapped Minamoto, drugged her, and used biometric eye scans and fingerprints from her as 'proof' of her committing unspeakable acts of dishonor, then submitted information of these false acts to Renraku. With a highly professional decker among the runner group, all of their tracks were covered, and data was placed exactly as intended to ensure that Minamoto could never prove herself innocent....at least not for a while.

	With the stage set, Minamoto was not only returned to EVO by the runner team to Seattle, but Renraku now deemed Minamoto as unworthy to become Red Samurai, thanks to the carefully planned framing attempt succeeding. Once Minamoto recuperated from the drugging effects though, she was able to escape EVO's clutches, thanks to her prior training as a Red Samurai candidate. She had attempted to contact her superiors at Renraku, but quickly learned the horrifying truth of what had happened. She had eventually learned it was Blue Samurai interference that orchestrated this mess due to their jealousy over her, fueled further by their intense rivalry... yet she was powerless to do anything about it. Enraged, her greatest honor had been stolen from her, and she believed that the rivalry itself between the Red and Blues had poisoned Renraku at its core.

	With nowhere else left to go, it left her no other choice but to join the shadows herself. Using whatever funds and resources left she had available, she would organize herself to take up arms for survival on the streets. As she has a Red Samurai upbringing, she maintains a great deal of inspiration from the ideals of a Red Samurai, even though she was never able to officially become one herself. Using her training as a shadowrunner, this is what led her to taking up the runner name called 'Red Wraith'.
