Then things got bad, when an unknown hitman gunned down Maeve in a driveby. She spiraled hard into grief and rage, but eventually found some way to cope and lost herself in her work once again. Her devotion was rewarded in 2084 when she was named Danny's successor when the old man finally passed away.

			The transition has not been a smooth one, plenty within the family are unhappy with her appointment and both rival criminal organizations and factions within the family have tested her control over her territory. So far she's been able to hold onto her new power, with a little help from the shadows.
