Adler Alvarez is running with an up-and-coming group of aspiring Red Rovers fighting over control of their apartment building in Pullayup with another gang, the Cementary Killers. A brawl gets arranged to settle the dispute, and both sides are expected to cheat with magic and bringing in outsiders. <br /> <br /> ==The Meet==<br /> <br /> Quentin meets up with the runners in the pouring rain at &quot;Dirty&quot; Hikari Sera&#039;s noodle stand. He&#039;s congenial and the job is largely as the fixers advertised - show up as ringers and win the apartment brawl for Abner and his friends. Ryuuji makes inquiries about collaborations between the Red Rovers and the Yoshinaga clan and Alkali and Ganesh ask some clarifying questions while Ember is antsy to go. Without much negotiation, the job is agreed to and the runners receive relevant pictures, addresses, etc. The fight will have some basic rules - unarmed and clubs only, no guns, blades, or offensive use of magic, and don&#039;t kill anyone. <br /> <br /> ==The Plan==<br /> <br /> Alkali does some initial astral recon to determine that the other side has a mage, but other than confirming that and scouting the building generally, the runners just decide to roll up in Ryuuji&#039;s fancy vehicle. Ember, being a dog at heart, is antsy to get going. <br /> <br /> ==The Run==<br /> <br /> The drive into Pullayup is eventful, as a third gang, the Asphalt Devils go-gangers of Pullayup, request a neighborhood development donation of 10 nuyen to pass into their territory. Most of the group is content to pay, but Ryuuji is determined to refuse on principle. Alkali and Ryuuji avoid the tax through an impressive stunt that makes Alkali appear immune to bullets fired at point blank range. <br /> <br /> With that, the Asphalt Devils let the group through the blockade while continuing to whisper about them. Upon arrival at the apartment building, the Cementary Killers&#039; young mage tries to mind probe Alkali, but fails and is made in the process. All parties involved proceed to the pre-arranged melee, and it&#039;s largely a one-sided affair, as even the troll ringers hired by the Cementary Killers fail to make a dent in the shadowrunners and rapidly drop to the floor. After the first few seconds, the remaining top fighters from the other side surrender. Ganesh makes a speech to the gang-affiliated youths about true strength coming from meditation and respect for the living world, and Alkali cautions the young ganger mage to be careful upon whom she attempts mind magic.<br /> <br /> ==Aftermath==<br /> Group collects payment. No casualties, as the brawl was kept nonlethal.
