==Background==

Stella was born and raised in Tir Tairngire, but after a... disagreement with her parents she hired on with Bilge-Rat Jones and fled to Seattle, becoming a small-time ganger there. She was successful in this endeavour, but only for a few months, as a barroom knife-fight left her bleeding out on a Tacoma dock.

Thankfully for her, [[Heart of the Tempest]] was in the region hunting at the time, and saw a kindred spirit in her aura. Doing the only thing she new how to do, Tempest drained Stekka of Essence, and the changes, plus the added endurance Infection gave her, were enough to save her. Tempest guided her through the bestial hunger of a newborn vampire and took her under her wing as her vampiric 'daughter', and Stella took the ailas White Star after a spacecraft from an old flatvid Tempest's fixer - now hers - liked.
