			Born in Venice Italy, Artemisia's parents scraped by with not much money; ever since she was a small girl she showed a passion for mechanical devices, grabbing whatever caught her fancy from the trash and tinkering with it, sometimes even forming something resembling functional, her parents saw her potential and made plenty of sacrifices in order to cultivate her passion, although they were never able to afford any official education for her, they were able to scrape by enough to buy (or pirate) many school books, which she devoured.

			In adulthood she moved out, searching for a different place to plant roots in at her parent's suggestion, not knowing where, she eventually decided for Seattle, for her father had a continuous joke about moving to Seattle in a big high rise, and already knowing english making it a valid option.

			It took her a while for her to establish her new life, but eventually she managed to struck a deal with a Neo-anarchist gang around the Redmond district, offering her services in exchange for a place and a fake SIN to be able to practice her craft. Her shop eventually became known and often recommended in the area.

			Although things seemed to be going pretty well, Artemisia has always been haunted by what most would call bad luck, although it is quite the understatement, her life has always had a knack for putting her in odd situations, tormenting her with accidents, even technology malfunctioning in odd ways, which lead to constant unexpected expenses, forcing her to look for more work to make ends meet. Eventually she started getting asked to help with jobs of less than legal caliber.

			Now, although Artemisia considers herself a moral person, she does not equate morality to legality, and would gladly help with any job that did not involve hurting innocents, even enjoying being able to put a wrench in the shady works of big corporations. She did her job, took her money, and went back to her shop to rest, nothing more, so imagine her surprise when she was called for what she thought was just another job, only to arrive and to realize that apparently she had been recommended to a group managing many skilled "shadowrunners" a term she heard occasionally but never actually checked what it meant, for it had never been relevant before. The people she met were very confident, and honestly very good looking... that fused with the surprise of the situation made her unable to say anything of substance, just nodding along, and before she knew it, she was part of a network by the name of "Shadowhaven". She... did not know what to do, she felt like she was in too deep by now, and searched for whatever info she could.

			She eventually managed to piece together how this whole shadowrunner business work, eventually making friends with a local fixer, and accepting that this was the direction her life was dragging her.
