Yanet Herrero is an Afro-Cuban immigrant to the PCC. She was born to a family of average means in Havana, but her life took a turn for the dark when they were both murdered. Thanks to Cuba's social safety net, she was able to continue her education, and she went on to become a doctor. For a time, she buried herself in her work, becoming an academic, career-oriented sort. The exact circumstances by which she came to serve the riggers of the Technicolor Wings in the PCC are not known, but she has a spouse she does not let business acquaintances know about, leading some long-term Wings runners to speculate. Ultimately, they appreciate her reliability and expertise in maintaining their augmentations and electronic devices.
