Summary

A soldier made from a face, made to fight and now forced to choose what to do with her life.

She's a little confused but she's got the spirit.

Background

Test Unit 29851-32 was made in a Tir Tairngire laboratory and was one of a handful of successes. Despite her long-coded alias, she was actually third in a batch of four. The technology to make new humans is nothing new, most delta-capable laboratories are able to make new bodies from healthy genestock. But these are always purpose bred.

Rosalia, as she was dubbed informally by her 'mother', was not to be one such experiment. The goal of Rosalia's batch was to be a study of the effects of military service on an artificial mind. Each of Rosalia's batch survived gestation, each with their own unique growth patterns and optimization towards different aims to see the full effects across a broad spectrum. Despite her mind and vital organs taking brilliantly to the vat growth and genetic engineering, her skeleton largely did not. Ultimately, this would result in an early 'birthing' process and the installation of cybernetics that would replace her limbs and encase her torso. From here she was raised with a military education until she was sixteen, and at that point, she was put into basic.

During the next 8 years, she would see herself deployed in many military exercises and counter-terrorist operations within Tairngire territory, though specifically operations with a high likelihood for Rosalia's survival - the test would fail if Rosalia died at any point. This was made most strange as she failed repeatedly in learning how to operate a firearm while taking brilliantly to the sword, and her squad was made to adjust by the higher-ups.

Throughout her tour of duty, she would make many contacts within and without Tir Circles, and on her 25th birthday, she was released from service. During the next 3 years, she was under supervision, attending therapy, and making numerous reports to the lab that created her. On her twenty-ninth birthday, her project went under, and she was released as a free woman who was only just learning what choice was and knew little but violence all her life.

She wanted to know something else.
