Background

Sebastian Guest was born without eyes. Without optic nerves even. Each street doc his parents went to shook their heads and said nothing could be done. So his life began in darkness. Frequently mocked and bullied in what passed for schooling in Renton, Sebastian became increasingly bitter and depressed as he grew older. Then he got into deckbuilding. Something he could do by touch alone, he threw his whole being into it, and once his first deck was complete, a mangled monstrosity of five commlinks and a laptop, he would spend hours upon hours exploring the matrix, a place where he could see, a place where he was no different from everyone else.

Then he met an e-ghost. He saw how some beings could live their entire lives on the heaven that was the matrix, and he quickly became obsessed with doing that himself. The real world offered him nothing but hate and adversity, why wouldn't he eschew it for the Matrix? After graduating high school, he began to integrate his deck into his own brain, using some black-market neurosurgery bots. Soon he would be one with his beloved matrix, all he needed now was money and time.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

The Matrix is My Home Now (Trust Data, Codeslinger: HOTF, Deck Builder, Overclocker): After being raised in the darkness and ridicule of the real world, Centipede has elected to spend as much time in the virtual one as possible. Sad, maybe, but for not for him.

Negative

Shitty Body Hurts all the Time (Blind, Infirm): Due to a rare genetic mutation, Sebastian was born without eyes or optic nerves. He also eats very little as he is in the Matrix most of the time. This means Centipede is usually grouchy in the meatspace.

Bitter (PSC: Vindictive): For as many shitty cards life has dealt him, Centipede does a pretty solid job of stuffing them all back. Usually down people's throats. Whether it was your fault or not, Sebastian often gets back at you to pretend he has control over his life
