Overview

Chad Brent is a KE police officer stationed in Puyallup. He may not be good, but he's good at what he does. That's the only reason why he continues to stay on the payroll, despite the innumerous notes in his file about accepting bribes or harassing witnesses or--like--basically anything sleazy.

GM Notes

This table provides spoilers about the NPC's actions and motives.
Chad will hit on any female character with a charisma of 3 or better if they meet in person. Unless they've actively made his life harder, (and turning him down is not making his life harder,) you should offer Chad as a contact to any female character he interacts with who has a charisma of 5 or higher at the end of the run.
Chad will attempt to make any male with charisma 3 or better his friend if they meet in person. He will talk about about getting drinks, playing bar games, and picking up ladies. You should offer Chad as a contact to any male character he interacts with who has a charisma of 5 or higher at the end of the run IF they agree to get drinks with him.
Chad does not trust magic and will attempt to arrest any known infected on site. He will immediately stop if they pay him enough OR if he realizes this will get him killed.
If using Chad as a contact leads to a murder or missing persons in such a way that he'd put the pieces together, you should award 1 PA to the character UNLESS the player triggered the "Greasy Palms" quality.

Aspects Description

Aspect Description
Demotion When calling Chad for the first time on a run, roll a 1d6. On a 1 or 2, Chad has been temporarily demoted to being a beat cop, and loses access to his two detective qualities. In addition, he will complain about his demotion, which will--and I cannot emphasize this enough--ALWAYS be his fault, and always emphasize why he's a bad person.
Puyallup Precinct Chad is always more dialed into events in the Puyallup area as part of his job.
Greasy Palms Chad's brain works better when his palms have been greased. To spark this quality, you must pay a 10% finder's fee on item requisition or the full value of pay data. The GM will set this price on table, but it should be at least 250 nuyen for Chad to stick his neck out.
Investigator (Detective) Unless Chad has been demoted, he has access to the precinct database; this allows him to more easily investigate cases that are currently open with KE.
M&Ms (Detective) Unless Chad has been demoted, he's more likely to be assigned to murder and missing persons cases because he is--frustratingly--pretty good at what he does.
