Overview

Chet, a motorcycle cop hailing from a Tacoma KE precinct, is known for three things: his dedication to the job, his love of all two-wheeled vehicles, and his amazing mustache.

GM Notes

Regardless of where he meets or calls the players, be it mid-ride, in a restaurant, in the precinct, or at a wedding, Chet will be wearing his helmet, sunglasses, and glorious mustache. If attempting to hide his connection to KE in order to solve a crime, he'll show up in a plain black helmet instead, but will still be wearing the sunglasses and--of course--the mustache. Every action he does to show emotion or emphasize a point should involve his helmet, sunglasses, or mustache. When he takes off his sunglasses or his helmet, he should have a smaller helmet or pair of sunglasses on for any pink mohawk run. For black trench coat runs, he's got a noticeable bald spot and his left eye is a cybereye (perception test of 3) that is barely visible because of the chrome edge behind his eyelid.

If the players are obviously operating outside the law when they contact Chet, he will not help them unless they present a moral imperative such as "innocent civilians will die" or "this will cause families to go homeless" or so on. Any time that the players present a moral imperative, he will work diligently to follow up on the incident, proccing "The Better Brother" if necessary.

For Chet, action to prevent loss of life, displacement of innocents, or irreplaceable destruction of property is considered moral. When these goals are in contention with each other, Chet believes that the protecting loss of life is more important than preventing displacement of innocents is more important than irreplaceable property damage.

ANY time runners intentionally employ lethal tactics, such as using APDS or hollowpoint rounds against metahumans, this is in violation of his moral code.

Aspects Description

Aspect Description
The Better Brother If Chet would reasonably discover that the actions taken because of his involvement are both illegal and immoral, the player who originally contacts Chet on a run increases their PA by 1 because of Chet's report; this is in addition to any run-related public awareness or notoriety gained.
Tacoma Precinct Chet is always more dialed into events in the Tacoma area as part of his job.
Case by Case Chet's job allows him access to case notes for open KE cases.
The Open Road Chet has an intimate knowledge of Seattle's highway and road system.
Wheels Turning Chet loves cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He's got an encyclopedic knowledge of vehicles and vehicular crime.
