Personality
Haruki is all business, and generally appreciates clients who get straight to what they need rather than wasting his time with small talk or personal conversation.
One of the few topics he can be induced into talking about, so long as the other person seems to know their stuff, is sports. He has a Shiawase Sharks Combat Biker jersey hanging on the back wall of his office, and a coffee mug on his desk emblazoned with the colors and logo of the Seattle Screamers Urban Brawl team.
Overview
Haruki Uchida rarely talks about his past. There are rumors on the street that he used to be a Corporate Intelligence Officer (as well as more colorful rumors, including that he used to work for the CIA, JIA, Yakuza, FBI, and so on), but to the few clients whom he trusts, he will confirm that he used to be a member of the Shiawase Market Information & Forecasting Department.
Although he was born as a member of the corporate elite, all that means these days is that he's fallen further than most to end up working in the shadows of Seattle. His former occupation, in which he recruited HUMINT ('human intelligence') sources, has translated rather smoothly into his job as a Fixer. He has an eye for talent, and will often approach up-and-coming street samurai, mages, hackers and the like to give them a minor job to see how they perform. If they do well, he will find more work for them and if they do poorly they will likely never hear from him again.
Though he no longer works for Shiawase, he still has friends in the employ of the corp. Should his clients need access to Shiawase health clinics or Nemesis Arms weaponry, for example, he can provide it.
