Background
Born on the island of Cyprus, my parents emmigrated to Detroit, UCAS when I was 5. Initially, I was bullied for my accent, my looks, you name it .. from that I learned that I wanted to protect and serve - I wanted to be a policeman when I grew up - yes, it's cliche, but when you're getting picked on all the time, it's natural, I suppose.
When I was 13 and my powers first manifested, my life changed. Not only was I already the biggest lad in school, but now I could back it up with magic. Not only could I make them do what I wished, I could also make them forget me entirely.
The day I graduated high school, I enrolled in the K-E police academy. Started out out as a beat cop, then transferred to Seattle and promoted to the special investigations team with a focus on gang investigations (had absolutely nothing to do with my pranking the LT by making him forget who the Captain was, no sir! nothing at all to do with that incident!)
I've been in Seattle for nearly a decade now and managed to keep myself out of trouble for most of it. I mean, sure, there were a few 'incidents' but I've also learned to be a bit more subtle and most couldn't be traced back to me.
Last summer, however, I quit. Over time, I found that I'd become jaded to the internal politics, constant infighting and corruption. It also had nothing at all to do with that one time at the team's Christmas party where I found my (now ex) wife on a conference table with my (now former) partner. I lost my temper, beat the everliving tar out of him and got placed on administrative leave. The ex responded by cleaning out the bank accounts and taking off with my ex-partner.
I tendered my resignation the next day but really don't have a plan for the future - the divorce process cost me what little I had after selling the car and apartment.
Now I am simply No One...
