Summary

What happens when you blend a bit of cockiness with some old fashioned traditional Nordic charm. Vikar is what you get, an magician somewhat of a dubious nature, that relies upon his mixture of both combat magic and summoning of spirits, when the job requires a bit more force than he's unable to supply himself

Background

Dustin was born in Alabama to a family of poor elven parents. He was a troubled youth, and his smart mouth always lead to the worst results. From simple vandalism to minor theft, criminality was a common part of his upbringing. The only light shining in his corner was his brother and the close bond they have. The bond helped him become a better person until an event took his brother away from him.

Awakening as a mage wasn't a simple near-death experience but rather was one prolonged exposure to it .At first it was just faint whispers and vibe, dreams of distant realms, these would puzzle him for a moment and sometimes it would unnerved him for what he witness in these visions.

One day he woke up at the crack of dawn rubbing his eyes before standing up , yet A strangeness began to overwhelm him as he had the sudden urge to turn around and in horror, for that he seen that he was still in bed, like he was outside of his own body. Having no knowledge of magic beforehand he was just some teenager at this time. He couldn’t understand what happened to him and he never got a chance to say goodbye to anyone he loved, such a cruel fate of the sixth world before he felt a hand fell upon his shoulder, and he turned around to see a bearded man smiling at him. “Greetings Dustin, I am the Dragonslayer. I have been wanting to talk with you, young man. It seems that you need a hero.” This was a saving grace for him to be able to returned back to his body, he just had to accepted to the dragonslayer to become his mentor spirit and as a magical guide.

Life was never simple, and he would eventually go back to a life of crime. It was the easiest way to earn money, and he talked his brother into joining this line of work. But this was a falsehood and something he would regret in time; this one act lead to the death of his brother and his entire team. as They took a contract from a Johnson that they never met who had veiled motives. The team thought it was a simple smash and grab, but it turned out to be a setup. The "unarmed guards" were instead Humanis paramilitary, and it just became one disaster after another. His brother died from biofeedback, and Dustin was knocked unconscious. When he finally came too, he was inside of a jail cell and wondering how this came to pass.

It has been years since that ordeal, and now Dustin has more important matters to worry about; being a father, he has to support a kid and himself working in the shadows. Because of his past work and a few favors, he would join Shadow Haven. Maybe this place would help him acquire more work and eventually the tools to figure out the loose ends that led to the death of his brother and why they were asked to take that one mission that ruined his life.
