Summary

Three unsuspecting runners are dragged into a raccoon's self-aggrandization and/or celebration of Raccoon Day by means of Reverse Art Theft (and also regular Art Theft)

Background

Yesterday, October 1st, was Raccoon Day.

The Meet

Three slightly-confused fixers send Annette, Samael, and Onigiri into Puyallup with the name of their Johnson: Geoff Montgomery XLII. After introductions are made, the three make their way to back of a derelict apartment block, where a strange voice beckons them onwards. Annette recognizes the voice, and dread begins to build. In the next room, the three meet Geoff Montgomery XLII... the Raccoon. While Annette groans, the other two are absolutely bewildered as the raccoon greets them, then shows them a painting of Geoff himself. He asks the runners to place the painting in a location that is not boring and where other paintings are found. Translating from raccoon, they gather that he intends for them to display the paintings in a gallery because he has tried and failed to get them displayed through regular channels on account of being a raccoon.

Geoff also offers a bonus if, in the process of their reverse theft, they manage to commit some regular theft and bring him back paintings to fence.

The team leaves the meet questioning their life choices.

The first plan proposed is to simply rent out spots in a gallery; this is discarded when the team realizes it would cost more than they are being paid.
