Well. That was a bloodbath. First time in a few months that I've tasted kamikaze. I hate to say it, but I missed it, after going so long without seeing true action. The rush. The feeling of power. I let it get the better of me, although I can't say I feel too guilty about snuffing out a bunch of gangers and their mind mage. I'm lucky I was able to act so quickly, things would've gone much worse if I didn't put her down before she ''really'' got her hooks into me.
This Clocktower seems like an organization to watch out for, they could potentially make good allies in the future, but I'm not too enthusiastic about Re:Gulus associating with fae spirits. Nothing good ever comes of it.
[[Triage]]: Goddamn it, Re:Gulus. Call me for help, and it turns out your in the middle of a chess match. I'm glad I was able to keep at least a few of the gangers from dying, my teammates were not loading nonlethals. Maybe they'll have learned about trying to rob random abandoned schools.

Summary

Clocktower comes under attack when a legendary chess game unfolds. The cities worst are enthralled by the idea of stealing goods, but get caught up in a lethal game between gods.

Background

Re:Gulus invites over and fends off the vile spirit of a twitch-ear, Elliot Integra. The 2100 rated chess master from the Fae courts courted with Re:Gulus the idea of working together, but this caught the attention of wildly armed wannabee thieves. Taking an opportunity to strike, they caught regulus and his associates off guard.

The Meet

The team met in a DNI chat that was set up by Re:Gulus, with a stark message: They have guns, please save me! The team, incensed enough to want to help, reaches out to Re:Gulus' Clocktower.

The Plan

The plan is simple: Heartbreak pilots her drone from the front, Triage summons a spirit, and Omen hops in through the roof. A frontal assault with a twist of asking them to surrender first catches the enemies off guard.

The Run

Upon entering and starting combat, the team Realizes that Re:Gulus is playing chess with the Elvar Integra, and so they do their best to save the hostages. Combat is quick and lethal - at least for the thieves. A mind mage catches Omen off guard but is slain before they can adjust, the drone is destroyed, but the team successfully saves the day, letting regulus steal the win from Ser Integra. Given the conversation, it sounds like the two will come back some time. To chat again, perhaps. Or, perhaps, to strike a bargain for the info Re:Gulus holds onto.

Aftermath

Triage dissuades the thieving of any of Re:Gulus' goods, and the team is happily paid and fed from their exploits.

I'm lucky I was able to act so quickly, things would've gone much worse if I didn't put her down before she really got her hooks into me.

This Clocktower seems like an organization to watch out for, they could potentially make good allies in the future, but I'm not too enthusiastic about Re:Gulus associating with fae spirits. Nothing good ever comes of it.

Triage: Goddamn it, Re:Gulus. Call me for help, and it turns out your in the middle of a chess match. I'm glad I was able to keep at least a few of the gangers from dying, my teammates were not loading nonlethals. Maybe they'll have learned about trying to rob random abandoned schools.
