Summary

Runners were hired to rescue a certain Lydia Weaver. This was successful, after a fashion, and the newly turned vampire was fed her paralyzed sire and given to the care of Isobel Catalan

Background

Isobel Catalan was contacted by Lydia's gf after she went missing, and given KE's general incompetence subcontracted the job out to some runners.

The Meet

Isobel invited the two runners to a small restaurant in Snohomish, Quoth immediately seeing through her Masking. She outlined Lydia's recent disappearance, that her girlfriend was concerned she was in with bad folk, and that she had left this particular bar with someone unknown - the cameras had 'coincidentally' failed.

The Plan

The runners decided the first thing to do was head to the bar in question and ask the bartender. They learned she left in the company of a tall, pale goth girl, after chatting with a group of other folks, most of which seemed to not hold their liquor to an... unusual degree. Combined with a description and the apparent kidnapping, Quoth guessed that vampirism might be afoot, and followed the path she had been said to have left in in an attempt to find anything interesting. Despite the poor smell of their raven form, they found a scent trail, returning and following it with Raj's subcompact's olfactory sensor, the small vehicle just managing to negotiate the back alleys with some scratched paint.

The Run

The scent trail was tracked to the hotel, and after a failure bribing the clerk the runners rented a room and snuck around the hotel sniffing out. They knocked on the door, to no response, and after waiting a minute Raj cracked the lock.

The vampire who kidnapped Lydia was waiting behind the door, spell ready to sling, and managed to knock Raj out of the fight, but not before he made a final nerve strike against the vampire, taking her down with him. Quoth then moved into the room, finding a humanoid shape under blankets - Lydia, pale and enfanged, who weakly attempted to bite his throat.

Quoth dodged, and then simply dragged across the elder vampire, letting Lydia feed upon her instead, blood splattering all over the bed and Lydia.

Aftermath

Lydia recovered, and apologised for attempting to eat Quoth, Raj breaking into the janitorial closet for bleach to clean up his blood while Lydia showered and Quoth snuck out to grab clean clothes.

Lydia was then remanded to the care of Isobel, gaining another new vampire to look after and raise, and she handed over the promised payment

Well that didn't end the way I was expecting; at least I don't think so, I was unconscious at the time. I opened the door after cracking the lock and this goth slitch pointed her finger at my forehead as I moved in. Next thing I know I'm laying in an absolute charnel house. The slitch is dead on the floor, covered in blood with bite marks on her neck. Lydia is sitting on the bed, both covered in blood. Lydia took a shower while I broke into a janitorial closet for bleach and cleaning products. Quoth went out and got her some new clothing and we could finally leave. I think I may have a full body bruise, I'll have to check the soles of my feet.
