Hacker woman who was raised to be a perfect little corpo spider, before awakening as a technomancer and being helped by her parents to... gracefully leave corp custody. Wants to be the best hacker, is awful at brute force hacks.
Goals
Fill the gaps in her torn resonance, pursuing the art of being a cyberadept and hacker.
Background
She was *born* to be a hacker. And she failed it, awakening as something greater, something even more worthwhile to the megacorp her family belongs to. White walled test chambers and corpo cartoon toys were her entire childhood, growing up in a lab in southern France. Modified to be a hacker from birth, an experimental treatment to assure that her brain moved faster, made connections easier, her body resisted feedback more, all sorts of changes. And her parents couldn't have been happier, as she approached her 16th birthday, the time when she would be released to her family's care and raised to be the perfect little corpo spider.Then she *emerged*. Her soul waking in a flare of resonance, partially burnt by the modifications given to her, a tattered persona desperately trying to fill the gaps within itself. She kept it a secret at first, suddenly having the ability to leave the walls binding her, swim through the matrix like a native in a way her corp couldn't easily track, and she found people there. Like minds, fellow technomancers, and her teacher. Her power is lacking, skills clumsy even after this time, but they taught her the old ways of the matrix and the resonance flowing through her. A gentle hand, teaching her what it could like to be free. She wishes she still knew where he was.
They taught her to hide as well. Keeping her gift hidden, but she was only a child. Her family found out during a surprise visit, her mother and father seeing her persona briefly when she shouldn't have had access to any tech, and immediately took action. Doctoring logs, coaching her on how to start failing the tests she had excelled on for years. Passing just enough to not be disposed of, but failing enough where they woudln't care if she was sent away when she turned 16. And her parents did so, teary eyed as they set up a fund for her to draw from, a short few months out of captivity iin france her only true time spent with them before being shipped off to Seattle.
It has been nearly 2 years now, She barely leaves her condo, but she is starting to bang at the walls of her gilded cage, the resonance inside of her stirring more and more each day and demanding to be used, to be stressed and strained. Stretched and grown to fill the gaps left by her cybernetics, and past that to reach her true potential.
