| Two years prior to the current events, Dorothy was involved in a vehicular crash. In the backseat while the grid seemingly fried itself, her vehicle spun out of control and had a collision with another car.

| Her vehicle was flipped upside down and she slowly crawls out holding her ribs in pain. Limping away from her car, it explodes. The explosion bursts her eardrums leaving her partially deaf.

| Standing up and looking back at her now destroyed vehicle, she spots an unusual lump of flesh a few meters away. Her right arm. As she glances to the stump that is her shoulder, she passes out.

| An hour's drive to an abandoned factory in Renton goes quietly. Upon arriving at the GPS coordinates, she is held at gunpoint by an Elf, introducing herself as Ms. Kane, and her colleagues inform her that the young Nocturna needs money and also needs to vanish.
