Summary

Everything is fake in the neon world. Scarlet has white skin, though her arms and legs are matte black. They have seen better days, but their red LEDs are still shining, interwoven with the black. Her eyes and her hair show the same patterns of black and red, like the blood of a crimescene at night. And her jacket shows the same, everchanging. Is there even something real, human, left?

Background

Scarlet was born as a bright, but lonely girl. She grew up fascinated with cybertechnology and the matrix, and started to delve into it, when tragedy struck. You see, she did not grow up in a safe neighbourhood, but one constantly hit by gang violence. In one of those raids, she was badly damaged by a troll, as she likes to put it.

Slowly, part by part, she put herself back together, getting her money from deep matrix dives, without the ability to do anything else. And she fell in love with the cyberlimbs she was browsing and waiting to buy.

Finally, she had rebuilt herself, and went into the shadows she had partly worked for before, finding allies and training to get better, and surpass being a human - become a transhuman.
