Background

Each of the characters fixers contact them about an extraction job at a hotel in downtown - the target is someone called Ku Liao Fang and she basically never leaves the Chez Ogino.

The Meet

The team has a brief meeting at Matchsticks to put some ideas together; however, some phone calls to contacts end up running dry. The team considers the layout of the hotel, as well as what they can find out about the target. They do learn that she is operating on behalf of the Red Dragon Triad and is a human trafficker. Most of their other leads turn up dry, so they turn to some physical scouting.

The Run

Physical Scouting

Samael and Rosalia get a room and dinner reservation at the hotel and start digging while Shenshena and Gilette dig around and find a back door. The team debates various means of actually getting to the target, but the hotel is very high downtown security.

Starting to come up dry with possible infiltration routes, the team reaches out to subcontract a Decker - we need to know what room she is in. Shenshen reaches out to a Decker who tells us if we can get some data taps on devices. Rosalia manages to get an eye on the kitchen route for an infiltration.

Infiltration

The team decides to join the party in the back - Gilette and Shen coming in from the back and Samael and Rosalia sneaking in through the kitchen doors to get to the back - ideally to meet up, collect gear, and sneak up to find the target. Everyone notes that 'make it up as we go' places more or less suck but we're low on options. Shen and Gilette disable the guard and begin to navigate through the back halls of the hotel. The team meets up in the storage area, and after some investigation, finds bodies in the fridge. Turns out the triads are bioware-legging and using the fridge to store it. We data tap the commlink and we learn that the target is on a list of people to not give her too much trouble. She's on the upper floors where security is obnoxiously tight.

The team decides that the next morning they're going to try and get the target in the restaurant, using the injector Pen and slab, using the back hallway as the exit route. They hope to accomplish this by the power of lady boners and "we saw you across the Chinese restaurant and are really digging your vibe."

The next morning

The outside team goes to break back in, discovering the poor guard is back with a watcher spirit. Shenshen sorts the watcher and TG drops the guard again.

The inside team goes for breakfast, spots the target at breakfast, and begins Operation: Lady Boner.

Rosalia manages to "convince" Ku Liao into the bathroom... where she pulls a knife out on Rosalia. Apparently this is Operation: Murder Boner. The team moves in to support her and Samael jabs her with the injector pen as the target tries to gut Rosalia. Shen Shen goes to do first aid on Rosalia while we start to extract. Some cleaner-cleaner later, the team exfiltrates out the back, target in hand. One fence later, the team escapes, and they toss Rosalia in the vakyrie module inside Samael's car; her contact remote operates it and saves Rosalia.

Aftermath

• One slabbed murderboner lady dropped off.

Player After Action Reports (AARs)

Samael - Wonderfully quiet run, despite some initial setbacks. Solid team, excellent work. Rosalia is easily my better at the social game, Tusked Gillette has the patience of a saint, and we quite simply would not have accomplished this if it wasn't for Shenshen's magical skill and silence spells.

Rosalia 32 - Much as I played the part of the leading woman, I would be nothing without the leading man in Samael, or the brilliant backstage work managed by Tusked Gillette and Shenshen. Being stabbed in the heart is an unfortunate side effect, but ultimately this was a puzzle box turned into stage production. Amazing work from everyone, and I am glad to have worked with such an exceptional team.
