Summary

The runners are contacted by their fixers and meet up with the owner of Billy's Bratwurst, a food truck that serves real meat bratwursts. The owner is running into trouble with a new rival food truck chain and wants the runners to teach them a lesson. Hilarity ensues.

Background

A new Ares subsidiary by the name of Hellhound's is a food truck that has taken up residence in Tacoma, siphoning business off of Bratwurst Billy. Once he finds out why his customer base has been thinning out, and tasting the fake dogs from Hellhound's, he sets out to hire runners to teach them a lesson for selling on his turf.

The Meet

After checking in with each of our runners, they proceed to the meet with the johnson. Johnson runs Billy's Bratwursts, and wants a rival chain, subsidiary of ares called Hellhound's, that serves hotdogs and is taking away from business of Billy's. He wants us to makes sure the machine they use to make the dogs doesnt work anymore, and get them to leave the area.

The Plan

The runners introduce themselves and start to plan. After some matrix searches of the details of the truck, the runners plan to distract the employees with rats to get them out of the truck, then sneak into the truck, pour Aquaregia acid on the machinery, and call it a job well done. However, after a common sense card, the team decides to do more legwork, suspecting that the truck may be guarded somehow. 141 Calls up 3310 and offers an exchange of information. 3310, after payment, tells the runners the details of the security of the food truck; which includes mounted assault rifles and drones. Timeout does some matrix stuff to ascertain the threat level the team is dealing with, and finds an RCC. The runners decide to proceed with a similar plan

The Run

The team gets into their positions, and gather 15-20 feral rats in a box thanks to Metamorphosis. Pinnacle then causes a distraction by sliding rats into the truck unnoticed and making a ruckus. More matrix stuff ensues on Timeout's part that allows access to the doors. The truck releases mustard gas, killing the rats. With the door open and a distraction in play, 141 sneaks into the foodtruck, seeing chefbot anthrodrones. She sneaks up to them and attacks them. Combat ensues in which the kitchen car is destroyed.

Aftermath

In the aftermath of the chaos, Timeout helps the employee whose biomonitor wont allow them to leave the truck during work hours, breaking them free of the soon-to be wreckage. They thank Timeout and give them their contact info. Meanwhile, the rest of the team contacts Billy the bratwurst truck owner, who has been looking down the street at the chaos. The team contacts him and gets paid for a job well done.

I have achieved a level of understanding of myself that no person has before. I saw in an instant, how far the depths of my humanity traveled. I saw the circle, it's perfect shape, and exactly where I fit into the world. I saw the pitch black, the pure white, and everything that had been forgotten. Everything I was asked to forget, told not to see, feel, hear and think. I saw the radiant light. I heard the beautiful chants. I felt the tender warmth. There was nothing there. God has already died and left us in this hell of a life.
