A brief city lockdown occurred Friday night alongside a curfew to clear the streets in order to allow Lone Star to respond. In a brief interview on Saturday morning, Congressman George Atwood explained that the citywide lockdown was only a temporary measure until the nature of the attack was ascertained. There was a, at the time, very reasonable concern that this might have been part of a larger assault on the CAS Capital, but ultimately, it appeared that the CRC's rail system was the eventual target. In conference with Director Shaw, she confirmed that no client security data was compromised, though at the cost of extensive damage to the facility, heavy injury to the local security force, and at least one casualty. Congressman Atwood, on behalf of the CAS and the CRC, expressed his condolences to the family of the fallen security member.

Emerging news coming out of the Confederation of American States this morning about a weekend terror attack foiled by the heroic efforts of Lone Star and their rapid response division. Director Veronika Shaw, speaking on behalf of the Confederation Rail Company, or CRC, revealed how one of central processing sites for the CAS's railway system came under attack in the late hours of Friday night, October 4th. Security footage revealed a number of masked assailants attempting to shoot their way in to the site and engaging in a protracted firefight with local CRC security.

In a statement from Lone Star, Captain Nathaniel Granger gave a brief statement explaining that the criminals were apprehended over the course of the following few hours after the terror attack. While one of the criminals was pronounced dead on the scene, one more was taken into custody immediately by Lone Star forces.

The statement continues that two criminals fled the scene, though one was recovered later attempting to escape the state under disguise. NewsNet regrets that we cannot provide photo evidence of this criminal due to it being beyond any measure of acceptable for most any viewers, however, according to the Lone Star statement this criminal chose to take her life instead of submitting to arrest.

Information is wanted regarding the escaped suspect, last seen fleeing into the Atlanta Sewers. If any information is found, please contact NewsNETs Tips Hotline at [Commcode].
