Summary
Benny Cervantes, a fixer working for the Gianellis in Tacoma, hired a trio of runners for a self-indulgent Christmas gift to himself. One of his clients needed weapons and he wished to screw over his rivals at the same time
Background
The fixer Benny Cervantes hired a group of runners consisting of Colcannon, Saladin, and Quill to steal a shipment of weapons about to be sold by The Vory to The Yakuza in the Tacoma docks. One of Benny's clients contacted him for weapons at a low price, and he knew this was the best way to get them. The deal was supposed to be more of a symbolic thing between the two groups as they try to form an uneasy truce to take over Tacoma and drive out the mob.
The Meet
The fixer Benny Cervantes hired a group of runners consisting of Colcannon, Saladin, and Quill to steal a shipment of weapons about to be sold by The Vory to The Yakuza in the Tacoma docks. One of Benny's clients contacted him for weapons at a low price, and he knew this was the best way to get them. The meet happened at Gianelli's, the family restaurant used as a front by the mob. Benny offered his hospitality by paying for the food, and the negotiation started. Benny asked the runners to steal a shipment of old AK-97s coming from Russia that night via boat.
The Plan
After debriefing the runners and negotiating a better payout for the job at hand, the trio set out to work. They arrived at Dock number 5, the dock where the deal was supposed to happen after midnight, around 1 AM to case the joint and try and figure out a plan for attack. Saladina, after creating some alchemical concoctions to make the plan run smoother, had the idea to bombard the meeting with some airborne toxins and take advantage of the confusion and make it look like a false flag attack by the Russians on the Japanese, taking advantage of their uneasy truce to take over Tacoma as mentioned by Benny.
The Run
The airborne toxin plan worked flawlessly, and Colcannon, protected by a bunker suit and a potion of invisibility, made her way towards the shipment they were meant to steal and made out with the loot that included the weapons and the credstick that was meant to be used to pay for the shipment. Quill, in the meantime, did sniping work to strategically dispatch dealers of only the Yakuza side after noticing the Vory had their own sniper posted up on a vantage point, making it look even more incriminatory towards the Russians.
Aftermath
The run was sucessful, and the two groups involved in the trade will probably have to renegotiate a lot before any truce is achieved. Benny recieved the guns and payed the runners accordingly.
