Character Information
Summary
"Hi there! I am the Super Logistics, Assistance, Coordination and Kinetics System! I've the got totally radical skills to bring you the Arctic Swag of a preemo body-man and personal assistant, all in the appealing package of NuTech Greene! Woah! Sardonic, man!"
SLACKS is an aging cyborg, created as a marketing tool to elicit nostalgia and investment money, never planned for meaningful use or production. It was made by Spinrad Industries on their come-up during the 2060s. In essence, it is a very expensive piece of display ware to be used with the most lucrative of clients, up close and personal. SLACKS was trained to be a callback to simpler times, and to evoke a fun and bouncy look to otherwise deadly technology.
In a meta sense, SLACKS is a callback to the charming tech aesthetics and totally radical mascot personas of the 90s, as a reflection of the long years that have passed from the original retro-futuristic 80s inspired Shadowrun. He is very silly, and sort of cheesy, but still capable of pathos, as long as a timely adjective can punctuate it.
Mechanically, SLACKS is a cyborg who functions like a soak heavy muscle. He has no real matrix utility at this time, though he will become an off-decker and rigger over time. With his original suit of Supah-Tuff Unbreakable Armor, he's exceedingly difficult to harm with small arms (32 effective armor). He is also serviceable at sneaking, small unit tactics, and matrix searching.
