I would prefer players who only apply if Planning to accept the run. Otherwise all runs would devolve into: kill x henchmen cause you pissed off the Johnson.

Style

Have almost a decade of GMing experience in other ttrpgs, but new GM in Shadowrun, be gentle :D

I GM by the philosophy of the players and the GM create the story together. So I only railroad, when absolutely necessary. Because of this, the chance of the run increasing in length is a very realistic possibility, as long as everyone is having fun at the table. I plan to only interfere with how a character acts, if it might cause distress to the other players. However, due to the setting, and for the narratives sake, player actions do have consequences, and derailing the run, with a horribly placed IC joke, or too aggressive character behavior is a possibility. You can disrespect a halloweener for so long, before the flamethrowers come out.

In my previous games, I used the Rule of Cool to some extent. Role playing someones character is encouraged but not mandatory.

I like to write detailed-ish backstories to most of the npcs, and settings I run, so searching for lore bits, and personal information is a possibility if so inclined by the players

Due to the nature of the setting Some of the more serious themes of the Universe might come up during play, though I will keep in mind, that to some certain subjects might hit too close to home. As such, the X card system is encouraged at my table.

I might post runs occasionally, that deal with more darker subjects (Cyberpunk is not all sunshine), but these runs will be properly labeled, and warnings will be posted.

Declining a run

I would prefer players who only apply if Planning to accept the run. Otherwise all runs would devolve into: kill x henchmen cause you pissed off the Johnson. Bailing mid-run, because new information that came up after accepting it, however is totally accepted.

Pick Policy

New to all this, so for now I'll just pick based on the runs theme.
