Valerie Williams was born to relatively well off parents in 2056. As she grew up, her childhood was uneventful and happy until one day when she was 7, and a tragic accident saw her house burned down and parents burn to death. She too, was badly burned, and taken to the hospital with little epxected chance of recovery. That's when she SURGEd, and the new Valerie emerged from deep within her genes; a resilient cockroach based surged left her with insectoid chitin and other features, saving her life due to the bug's signature resilience. She was treated afterwords, the doctors calling it nothing short of a Miracle. Finding a place with a foster family for the rest of her childhood, Valerie came to believe that her SURGE (and adept powers she had begun to discover) were a result of superior evolution activating from her genes. She holds this belief into adulthood, no matter how many may discriminate against her and believe she has ties to the invae. When she became old enough to work, she found herself bored and frustrated by the paths available to the awakened, and ended up quitting her job and taking to the shadows, believing her talents to be better used there. | |||

A Cockroach SURGE who believes herself to be evolutionarily superior to literally everything else, Pinnacle is a bratty but infuriatingly competent runner who excels in smooth talk, negotiation, and insults among others. She can also take a hefty hit in combat.
