Summary

Wildflower is an Oni, born natively to Japan but currently living in Seattle due to certain circumstances. A daughter of an Oni who has minor musical fame in Japan and a swordswoman, she has quite a spunky attitude that she uses to hide her insecurities

Background

Haruka Briar was born to two mothers in japan; a mildly famous Oni musician in the area named Karisa, and a human swordswoman named Aura. They were quite loving parents, and it was hard to argue with the notion that they raised Haruka well. Around her teen years, Haruka found out she could use magic; a first generation awakened, as it were... this definitely caught her interest and passion, as she studied magic more and more and made it her pastime.

Haruka always kept to herself in the physical world, but as she grew up, she began to use the matrix more and more; meeting people through online chatrooms and other online channels. Eventually, through one of these chatrooms, she met a girl who lived in Seattle named Lily Fitzgerald. As they talked more and more, they entered into a long distance relationship and eventually, Haruka decided to take a trip to Seattle to see her. What awaited her there was indeed the girl she was talking to, but there was something wrong.

It would turn out that Lily was an infected who often ran this scheme to bring food to herself. Upon meeting Haruka, and luring her into her home, Lily began to drain her essence, but, as she went through the process, she found she couldn't bring herself to completely kill Haruka... she had come to love her for real in their months of interacting. Instead, she drained her completely, and then left her with a live victim in the apartment she had lured her into before, disappearing into the sprawl of Seattle.

When Haruka woke up, she was struck by the urge to feed, as a vampire now herself and, as if possessed, feasted on all the blood of the live victim and killed him. Disgusted with herself, realizing what had happened, Haruka knew she could not return to Japan like this... She began to look for Lily, but finding no trace, she was forced to make a living for herself... in the shadows, as a blood hungry monster
