Summary

A light-skinned Arabic man in his early 20's, HeatSync wields both magic and the Matrix to get the job done.

Goals

To raise the money to move his parents out of the Arabian Caliphate, and get them settled comfortably and safely in the UCAS.

Background

Born in the Arabic Caliphate, HeatSync was raised by his parents, both heretical mages of different traditions. He took after his father in studying the hermetic tradition, but his parents urged him to learn other skills that did not carry the penalty of death. They bought him his first cyberdeck when he was a teenager, and he quickly took to it, learning to hack some of the local commercial hosts and claim his neighborhood with AR graffiti tags. However he still studied his father's magical texts in secret.

Shortly after turning 18 and moving out, HeatSync learned that his parents had been arrested and imprisoned for heresy. He tried to hack the system to get them released, but the security was too strong. The best he could do was to make sure they weren't executed. After hearing there was money to be made in Seattle as a shadowrunner, he moved there with the eventual goal of being able to fun a run to free his parents and smuggle them safely to the UCAS.

  • HeatSync dabbled in his mother's Shamanic tradition at an early age, and somehow managed to piss off a Beast spirit. They've been after him ever since.

  • HeatSync had little exposure to metahumans as a child, and he is painfully aware that even average trolls could tear his arms off with little difficulty. This makes him awkward and nervous when he has to deal with them.

Appearance

Coming from the Arabic Caliphate, HeatSync tends to dress warmer than most. Even on warmer days, he frequently sports at least a hoodie. It helps that it's armored.
