Background
A group of Haven runners, hearing about the theft of the food from a food bank at a church in Touristville protected by the Crusher 495, decide to band together to deal with the issue.
Run
Runners discuss the situation over the Matrix, decide to meet and contact the leader of the Crusher 495. Paladin hits the streets to get the word out of wanting for a meet, manages to get one at the Crusher 495 bar. Meeting at the bar with [insert name here], the leader of the gang, the team discuss with the theft with him, figuring out the robbery was done by the Electronic Crow gang, but that it wasn't their normal style. Promising to figure it out, the team hits the streets to gather info, learning that local grocery stores and bodegas are not taking food stamps any more. Paz spots a Horizon Flying Eye/Cu^3 scanning over everything, keeping an eye out, all while running silent. Going to the nearest bodega, Paladin and Paz talk to the owner, who mentions a film crew. The drone goes down low and watches the trio. Paz offers DNI to the store owner to talk while they shop. Learning that there is a film crew hounding bodegas to try to catch illict dealings/any evidence of purported abuse of the system, the two runners pay and leave, catching the eye of the drone. It SIN scans with an R4 SIN scanner. Paz's SIN comes up clean with 3/8 hits, but Paladin's ties with 4/8. A news van rolls up, and Aiden Wiley pops out to catch the runners by surprise with an ambush interview. Paladin turns it around by being condescending/insulting to Aiden and deflecting the questions, and eventually bringing up "known" issues with SIN scanner tech, Paladin manages to convince Aiden to SIN scan himself to prove a point. Someone in Aiden's stream pays 1000 nuyen to basically dare him into doing so, and so Aiden does. Fischer, who had been running Matrix overwatch, techno powers the SIN scanner into giving an error regarding his journalism degree. Thoroughly humiliated, Aiden and his team hauls hoop to do damage control for the inevitable scandal. This handled the situation regarding food thefts/food stamps as they had been the one to convince/pay off the Electronic Crows to do the original theft as the humiliation spreads across the Matrix, and the Crows return the food with an apology after a while.
Aftermath
Aiden Wiley has to deal with the scandal/humiliation due to the journalism degree flagging as an error/potentially falsified.
The local community around the Crusher 495 regains all the food that was stolen.
