The Brazen Bull |

Summary
As Seattle Software and Special Investigations recovers from licking their wounds, they open their doors to runners from the haven to bolster their ranks. The first of which to join the ranks, The Brazen Bull goes through a trial mission, of which he runs into familiar faces and deals with not only the challenge of gangers, but also the challenge of paperwork. He tours the S3I building, and meets friendly new coworkers, including Aleks Skliar and the armory staff.
Background
The Brazen Bull had worked previously with Farraday's Clinic, back before it was trounced by the N-51. As such, S3I, as they were starting to hire new runners, had a keen interest in working together. As it just so happens, Brazen Bull's fixer, Pierce Rogers was doing some digging around too and got them connected. At some point, Brazen thought about Dr. Nina Farraday, and where they could potentially be in the world. Not many had heard of him, nor none knew where he is at this time, too. The situation ended with a disapeared doctor, and left a community of people yearning for the medical treatments that Faraday had once supplied.
The Meet
Brazen Bull started their day with a meeting at Pierce's Gym, as Pierce Rogers had asked the Bull himself to come in. Pierce revealed that he had some runners check out the S3I building the other night, and that had left a curious itch in his brain. Asking Brazen Bull to check it out and do a gig for them, the Bull agreed and made his way to S3I. Upon getting inside, he was given a short rundown of S3I by the concierge staff.
- Upon being asked what S3I is all about
- S3I Was founded on a belief to help those underserved and overlooked. We believe in helping out our communities first and foremost.
- Asking about why the building is so brutalist in nature
- S3I's new building has been recently constructed in a utilitarian way, as well as a form of propaganda. The building was designed to dissuade attackers from assailing the building, but also built in a way to be easily defensible, and to help keep both staff and civilian safe in case of assault or natural disaster.
- Asking further about if they knew about what happened to Nina Farraday
- We regret what happened with the N-51, and have rebuilt in a way to make sure that organizations like that are disincentivized to attacking us again. As well, there's a statue Dedicated to Dr. Nina Farraday in the central loby, behind us.
- Upon looking at the statue.
- The statue itself is of a man with angel wings and a neon / LED Halo. On the plaque is the following information. "Angeli populi, mitis Salvatoris - Nina Farraday. Your efforts to help those are not lost on us all. May you forever rest in peace."
After a few minutes of investigating, soon Brazen Bull was met with a one Kate Markson who was excited to meet the bull himself, his local fame rubbing off. The two headed into Kate's office in the armory where they discussed the situation that was to be investigated. In Puyallup, there was reports of a small but constant amount of gunfire happening surrounding one building. Wanting to put a stop to the gunshots, a concerned citizen petitioned S3I to investigate, to which they agreed and hired Brazen Bull. The gig was simple: Go to the building, investigate, and stop the source of the combat, whatever it might be.
The Plan
Finding the gig amicable, Brazen Bull decided it'd be a good idea to stop by the armory and nab some items for the run. Checking things out, he decided to install a chemseal in his armor at S3I. They said it'd take a full day to do, so he dropped it off and rested for 24 hours. After returning to get his armor, he made his way into the streets of Puyallup with one goal in mind: stop the violence.
The Run
Finding himself at the required building, Brazen Bull decided to make his way up with a grappling hook. Upon making it to the roof, it was clear that there was only a few ways in; windows or door. Trying the door and finding it locked, they gave it a bump-key attack, successfully gaining access to the inside of the building. A quick scan spotted a spirit, and another check around the areas found that nobody else was around. Taking a moment to do drugs, Brazen Bull smoked up and smacked down the spirit, dismissing it in a single swipe of his axe, cleaning it in two. Another second later revealed to his dismay that he was caught on camera, and outside of a door would come a sheepish sounding and looking woman. Pressing the moment, Brazen Bull demanded to know what was going on and why they were here.
The pressing worked as the woman was easily intimidated, and she stuttered and spilled out the entire schpeal; this was a clinic that was constantly being assaulted by some local gangers, and they needed a hand shooing them away. Upon pressing for further information, a blonde haired and masculine looking doctor came from within the clinic and affirmed the information to be true; they were being constantly raided by some gangers with guns looking for a cheap and easy place to get pharmaceuticals. Without much more, Brazen Bull went off to deal with these attackers and save the clinic.
Getting to the place, Brazen Bull interrogated a nearby citizen, who admitted to seeing a potential group of gangers on floor 10, unit F. Without saying a word he went to the room and bust it down, entering into a firefight that he was severely outnumbered in. With the numbers stacked seven to one, he had an uphill battle to go, but the gangers soon found that they had pissed off the wrong bull, and they were about to get the horns. Brazen started by knocking out two of the gangers, and then focussed on one of them ore hardcore looking gangers. After tossling with them for a moment, he told them to stand down. Not wanting to, stating they had backup on the way, Brazen Bull knocked him out, and threatened the remaining goons to piss off. One ran into the bathroom to hide.
Then came the reinforemcents. The room was flooded with a flashbang which Brazen Bull outran, but wasn't able to escape fully the blast radius. The flurry of blows between himself and the other two gangers came to a close after he took a bullet to the eye, but kept fighting. Telling them both to piss off, the nearly dead gangers ran away in the face of a Bull that they had not damaged this entire time. And such, the ganger threat was cleared off.
Aftermath
Returning to the clinic, Brazen Bull was thanked by the staff. After being told "It was good to work with you again", he realized who he was talking to. In fact, the clinic was being run by the missing Dr. Nina Farraday. He didn't explicitly say that he wanted his presence to be kept a secret, but he did somewhat imply that he wasn't ready to let himself be known just yet, and that he was laying low for the time being. Brazen shook Nina's hand, and returned to S3I.
Upon arriving, he affirmed that the mission had been done but left out Farraday's inclusion. Instead, he just mentioned that there was a potential for someone to call looking for help. After which, Kate and Brazen Bull hit up the shooting range and armory, where Brazen Bull tried some new equipment and shot up some targets. Continuing to test out the facilities, Brazen Bull wandered the halls of S3I, surprisingly left to roam the area freely. Unbeknownst, he was still being watched, but many were keen to see how he'd handle the situation. He checked out some of the things that the new S3I building had to offer, and even ran into the S3I Famous Aleks Skliar training some new recruits in the gym. Excited to hear that the Brazen Bull was potentially joining up, the two had a small but fruitful conversation, and Aleks suggested they sign up if it seemed like something they'd be interested in.
Mulling it over, Brazen Bull decided to jump into it head first, signing up with S3I, and then returning home to await their first assignments.

Player After Action Reports (AARs)
The Brazen Bull: "It was good to see the Dr hasn't gotten himself killed yet, seems like a good man. I don't know much about what went down with the N-51 but attacking a peaceful clinic like that isn't ok. Also not sure what to make of my new employer much yet. S3I seems like a good place to get some direction in my life, maybe my new fame can help out with some of their PR, who knows.."
