Summary
Black dog is hired by a spirit to exact some Christmas revenge for stealing his buddy. A run part 2 of 3.
Background
Some spirits from a metaplane known as "Even Tides" are seeking revenge after a mage came and lied about taking astral signatures; now their buddy has been kidnapped and bound, and the spirits want their spirit friend saved. But! Not before some vile payback.
The Meet
Blackdog meets the spirit at the specified place under the overpass, overlooking glow city. "Do you want to be like that parable; the minotaur in the maze? Yes? Great! I've planned a maze, I want you to go be the minotaur." Said the spirit, enticing BD to head to the underground trap set up and have it be sprung on the bastard, Moritz Ricther. And by trap, well of course the spirit means beating him up and forcing him to get rid of the bound spirit.
The Plan
Head inside and knock some skulls.
The Run
BD heads over to the underground area where Moritz is. Along the way he finds some unruly gangers that want a piece of 'beat up the weirdo' action, but BD is able to outrun them.
At the trap, BD is followed down in the tunnels by Dealer who senses something tough inside them. She asks to play a round of Shotgun roullet, but Dealer is not able to entice BD.
Further in, BD heads inside the trap / maze, and the free spirit locks them inside. BD Navigates the dark tunnel with his thermal vision, sneaking around the unwitting gangers who are too drunk to fight, for the most part. Some look for him and even find him, but he subdues them and gets Morit'z location.
Moritz is found, and after a brutal CQC fight, is knocked out. BD waits for Moritz to awaken, and interrogates him. Moritz agrees to take the spirit back to the metaplane and free him, but a botched JI roll makes BD unsure of the truth to that statement.
On the way out, BD psychometrizes a weapon that stands out, and sees its violent past; but a violent past of self defense and running away from an rough life to start anew with his friends in the halloweeners.
The halloweeners, all too scared to contract the MULTIPLE STRAINS OF HMHVV1 leave BD alone on the way out, since he demolished the other of their 'best guards' who were looking after moritz. The impression they all got of the imposing minotaur was too scary to deal with.
