Summary

A Tír Na Nog native human decker that frequently blacks out, who also wishes she was an elf.

Goals

Gain a few million Nuyen. Repair the damages done to her mind by Black IC. Earn her family's respect.

Background

Morrigan O'Malley was a strange child. Strange as in she was the only human born into her Elven family since before the Awakening. As such, there was much confusion about her in her small town. Unfortunately, the belief that Elven spirits are being reincarnated into human form is in the minority, even amongst her family. With each new Elf sibling born, she felt her own relevancy in the family dwindling with each year. Not willing to just be cast aside and seen as shitstain to her family's status, she kept only her religious beliefs, running away to America, eventually finding herself in Seattle. There, she learned of her [decent] skills within the Matrix.

She was 21 when she began a short-lived first attempt at making it as a runner. She got some milk runs, snatching financial details from the poor and the addicted, planting unknown malware, etc. She made good enough money, nabbing her an expensive cyberdeck and some implants. There was one run that changed it all. Simple run. She and another decker were hired to nab some data from Renraku. It was simple. Grab data about corporate espionage and leave. She got cocky. She saw a life-changing amount of Nuyen she could transfer to her account. Splitting off, she took the money and attempted to sneak off without the other decker. Almost immediately, she saw her collegue being attacked by Black IC. By the time she rushed to him, his mind was completely fried by that Black IC. Then the Black IC chose her as its next target. Then nothing.

She awoke in a river, her right arm gone and bleeding, her cyberdeck almost broken, and a target on her back. She let Morrigan drown, rising up instead as Pixie Styx. After 4 years of laying low, letting herself heal, letting her funds save up, letting herself rest, she's taking another shot at running in the dark. Thankfully, her old greed has left her by this stage, well, the part of her greed that'd make her abandon her friends.
