Summary
A dwarf warrior in a dystopian cyberpunk urban jungle copes with the rising price of cigars and drugs.
Goals
Become a full-fledged recognized member of the Skraacha. Find better cigars. Do drugs. Be the toughest goddamn dwarf there ever was.
Background
Griggs' father was a dwarf in the Ork Underground, with a reputation as a stubborn old cuss that hated everyone with an equal passion. When The Night of Rage happened, the old Dwarf armorer was already set up(illegally) in the tunnels. As more refugees fled into the underground, Griggs Sr. swore and cussed at the intruders. His wife Maria quietly handed out spare blankets, and advised those seeking refuge where to avoid to stay safe. Griggs hated the upheaval. But then a bunch of rowdy murderous rioters followed a group down, and fell upon them just as Maria was greeting them. They killed her. Griggs Sr. flew into a rage, attacking the mob. When it became clear he couldnt win, the stubborn old dwarf pulled the pins on a chain of fragmentation grenades, and took the mass of violent metahumanity with him, cursing them with his last breath. His orphaned son was taken in by the new community, and even as most of the dwarves left, Griggs stayed. He grew older, and now most of his generation have died, or are too old to fight. Griggs spent his life fighting alongside Skraacha, and although those who know him think of him as one of them, many still cant reconcile the grumpy old dwarf warrior being Skraacha. He often takes jobs his friend Greg finds, earning decent money as a muscle and bodyguard.
