Background
Prior to everything, Draugur remembers, he ran a textile shop, of all the damn things. He doesn't remember very much about it, other than it being a quiet and boring existence. He recalls feeling trapped, and suffocated, full of wasted potential and staring down a life as a spokesman for whatever corp inevitably bought up that little shop and turned it inside out. His name had been Elias Aurum, and he sat at a spinning wheel and watch the world go by, with him barely in it. He might as well have been dead already.
Ironic, really, that the day he did die, he felt more alive than he had in decades.
