Background

Teresa Williams was born in the Redmon district of Seattle in the year 2057. Her street name, Eden, comes from the Garden of Eden parable from the bible, as she fashions herself a purveyor of earthly delights. Both of her parents were SINless and struggled to make ends meet, relying on odd jobs to support her and her older brother. Their family’s circumstances were bleak at best, and her brother found solace in the gangs that inhabited the district, rising through the ranks. However, it didn’t take long for him to make some powerful enemies. The kind that sneak into your family’s house, murder them and then set the entire place ablaze to make an example while one watches on, helpless.

With nowhere else to turn, her brother and family taken by the roaring inferno, Teresa fled to the streets where she lived for a good few years. Mostly she found herself sleeping on park benches or nestled away in foliage, finding solace in nature’s embrace; it was like the earth was deliberate in sheltering and protecting her when she was at her most vulnerable. She mostly relies on the kindness of strangers to survive and this was when she learned she had a sort of natural charm that people seemed to gravitate towards and how to use that to her advantage.

When she came of age, she decided to put that charm to work as a stripper at a club downtown called Dalia’s. It was a run down, ramshackle building filled with the most unsavory people Seattle had to offer and was where she was first exposed to the world of illicit substances. Pretty soon she was taking whatever drug she could get her hands on, anything she could do to numb the pain and make her forget her past. It was during a particularly bad trip that the green man came to her. He said that he had a plan for her, that the green needed her, that she owed him for taking care of her when she needed it the most. And who was she to say no? When she came to, a wave of agony washed over her, reverberating throughout the walls of her subconscious as she could now feel the plant life around her as they struggled to thrive in the urbanized, polluted city.

From that moment forward, she decided to use her talents and new found magical abilities to protect the green; attending protests, raiding corporate headquarters. Before she knew it, she found herself running the shadows, most of her work coming from a fixer named Chainsaw Caterpillar, a prominent member of TerraFirst! She also started growing her own supply of drugs and peddling it on the streets, deepweed, novacoke, marijuana, you name it. she became a big time dealer in her own right, reeling people into her cause with substances and force of personality. For now, she continues her work in the shadows, hoping one day to topple the corporate regimes that show no regard for the pollution and destruction they leave in their wake.
